GOING TO THE TRACK!!!!!!!
Well, gonna try Pocono Raceway's east course.Tried to pull it off a couple of weeks ago. Didn't work out too well. The fuckin "porta-pottie" was floatin on the back straight. Doesn't look like that's in the weather forecast this time. Gonna get some track footage from a camcorder mounted on a Triple tree techmount.
Hopefully I'll be doing the passin & not vice versa. The camera don't lie. I'll be sure to make a link if all goes well. Will try for some still shots too.
Will be taking the ZX10 for sure & possibly the 05 636.

If this is your first time, just remember to ride with in your limits. Its easy to get reeled-in trying to keep up with the faster guys. Most of the bad asses out there are riding smaller displacement bikes. You will have a blast!!!

Na, did the track day before. They put my in the beginner pack & I took their class(nysportbikeclub.com) which was extremely informative. Well anyway, after the second session I was lapping guys & begging to go up to intermediate. Which they weren't likin too much cuz you can only pass on the backThat's where I'll be runnin' thursday. I've been ridin for 35 years got alittle experience. Back when I was in my teens & twenties I was insane & ended up breakin up my body on numerous occasions( been a guest of the ICU ward over 9 times for trauma related shit). Use my brain on a much more consistent basis now!

I loved racing at Pocono. I use to stay just down from the track at a place call "Murphy's Loft". It was a old jail house converted to a motel. You ate at the bar next door to it. Good times. Way too many stories....

Well, did Poconos on thursday. Rained in the morning , by 10:00 am sun was out. Ran the intermediate class, it was a f**kin great! The Lombardi Bros. were there runnin the school & Alex the Italian who also teaches the 1st rate Beginner Class. I was extremely flattered when he remembered me as "that Fast Guy on the Black Kawi".
Well, I found the limits of the Pilot Powers in the 1st session of the day & spent some time adjusted & setting up the suspension to get the bike to hook as best possible.
I think the additional power I pulled out by removing the flies & retuning, and the fact that I could let it hang out considerably more in the intermediate class was the defining moment for the tires. Still the best street tires out there but, the Pilot Races are on order for the FUSA course on 8/10/06. Got some pics if anyone wants to post'em for me I'll send to ya!
