Where do you park your bike? Your better off with a good cable, and a stationary object.

Get an alarm with a flashing L.E.D. it's a deterrent for most thieves. A good lock with sturdy object to lock it to is the best but sometime not possibal . I went with a Gorilla fo wifeys bike and mine. Scorpio didn't offer a alarm with a L.E.D. I contacted them . there reply was it draws too much power and will kill the battery. I have let my bike sit for over two weeks with the alarm on and it started.

I think I'd rather a perimiter sensor than a LED. To me the the LED draws a bit too much attention and sort of issues a challenge to people who otherwise might not notice the bike. I can just hear some thug saying "Look at this guy with his pretty little alarm system, let's steal his bike just to show him we can." With the perimeter sensor you get the same deterrent but only if you get close enough.
Maybe I'm full of shit but that's my opinion on the matter.

I have a scorpio alarm and it works great! It has a perimiter sensor as well. Easy to install. One cut wire. Loud as hell!. Anti highjack too. Shut thhe bike off with a button on your remote. Easy as locking your car door with remote lock. Lots of features, battery backup built in. I have had other bike alarms that are crap. This one is easy to operate and works great.

I had a 2006 636 locked up with a cable, but they cut it in less than a minute. GAP insurrance is the way to go.
