Galfer lines

Cant seem to get the SBK lines in the UK, but you can get the standard braided lines.

Does anyone know what the diameter of these lines are in standard form ie 3mm etc.
(I believe the SBK lines are supposed to be 2.8mm)

Has anyone tried the standard Galfers compared with Hels or Goodridge lines.

Cheers

Gafler's standard lines are 3mm and their SBK lines are 2.7mm. At least according to Gafler. Most distributors of the SBK lines list the size as 2.8mm

Went for the 3mm Goodridge in the end. Vast improvement over stock lines.

I now have excellent lever pressure and with the EBC HH pads I fitted the brakes feel up to the job, finally!

Galfer here, I don't see the difference with the goodridge. Just the price I guess...No complaints.

I never can get my head around the "over the counter" shit. I build my own lines with Earl's bits. I like to run the lines outside the fork legs and get the twist nailed so the lines touch nothing. Goodridge makes nicer fittings, but Earl's hose is a treat to work with.

The place I use here in the UK build the Goodridge lines for you on site and you get them alot cheaper then the advertised 3 line kit price.

Not seen Earls here, but I agree that they are pretty much the same for all braided lines (size being the same)
