Faster blinking turn signals..
Changed my ZX-10R rear turn signals with smaller petite units I picked up at a Kawasaki dealer; the new flasher have no bulbs just an arangment of small electronic lights & some visible capacitors .. ..
they blink twice as fast... thats not illegal is it? don't care to be stopped and deal with any police issues about it ...any one know?
Thanks

are the new signals LEDs? if so, that's normal. u get the same behaviour when one of the signals is disconnected. you can get flashers that aren't affected by this issue tho. doubt it is illegal, but may depend on your state.

Buy (2) 7.5 ohm, 10 watt (ceramic) resistors and place one side to ground and the other side to the +(12 volt) side of the flasher. Do the same thing on the other flasher and your system will function as it was before. This is a standard mod that needs to be done when you replace buls with LED's. The resistor will get somewhat wram when the flasher is on, so that's also normal. The rapid flash is not as easy to see as a normal flash rate.

You might end up needing a little less resistance, somewhere in the area of 4-5 ohms. You could also use an electronic flasher thats not load dependent..
