Power Question ...
Guy's ... I have 2000 miles on my zx10r 06. I'm not sure if I got a SICK FAST one so I'm looking for some feed back.
When I hit 5000 (50mph) the front end launches every time. It runs to around 80 with the wheel straight up at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. I can then easily slip it into 2nd and it runs to a little over 100 before gently coming down to the pavement. This happens every single time with no BS. I can feather the throttle and let it just float at 10 oclock. I have now run with CBR 1000 06, GSXR 1000 05, ZX10 05 and every other bike. Mine is bone stock and I have yet to see another bike to the same. I'm NOT stunting ... no gearing NO Standing ... just SIT DOWN and ROLL ON the THROTTLE Power.
Now im 44 years old and had every race bike out there so please don't respond with stupid Hype about the GSXR wheeling at 100 mph because of a simple tug or any other non-sense. I'm hoping for another real 06 ZX10R owner sharing his experience so I can get a feel to whether my bike just happens to be a HOT ONE or if this is Normal for the ZX10R.
I have owned and street raced three R1s, two CBR900RR 98, one GSXR750 04, one ZX9r 00, one ZX11 93, and a bunch of other so please no none sense about this is how the bikes runs because this thing will Destroy any of my other bikes with no questions asked..
I prefer CBR first, then GSXR, then KAWK so Im not one of the KAWK die hards by any means
Real feed back will be appreciated

akrapovic dynoed the 06 zx10r at 164 RWHP.. . They list the busa at 154.. I use akrapovic because I think they are reputable.. If you broke it in properly there should be no reason that it doesn't run as good as it does. Bottom line you just might have a "good one" . I recommend putting it on the dyno BEFORE you make any changes.. hope this helps..

I've always thought my 04 must have been the alpha of the litter myself.

you probably do hace a sick fast one......
thats a good thing
unless you are in a compromised situation......
lean over at 50 degrees in a sweeper
surface conditions are not good or chancy
or you are caught with a goat & someone has a camera
the ecu reads rather rapidly several ongoing conditions
which results in the ecu making several decisions.....within constraints
my 12 will stand up unexpectantly in 3rd all the time
no clutch no tug....
how ive manipulated the throttle makes the difference
sometimes when the ecu is "switching maps"
what it is reading doesnt quite fit one............
it rapidly goes the next or a default map..................WFO
all a result from info its receiveing from various sensors
that are supposed to plug into the map
unfortunately any or all these conditions
may not show on a dyno
while a dyno may simulate a run thru the gears
or a drag strip pass........we all know its neither
you alos did not indicate what it does each gear same rpm
at any rate
i would not a thing
just learn how to ride it out
not get caught out in turns .....etc
& stay away from that goat
____________
bend your mind.....
or break your ass...!!
