So, reading Cycle News website, they report that someone who wants to remain annonymous stated that the AMA is going to stop "Policing traction control".
My question is, who is supposed to have been policing it until now? because they aren't doing their job. If they were, then the whole championship would be upside down right now with all the disqualifications that should have been handed out. If they are struggling to prove or disprove the existance of traction control on a bike, they just need to sit on the exit of any corner and listen to the bikes. It's pretty obvious.

quote: Damn...anyone watch the race today? You could easily hear the traction control when they were ripping around the turns. Definitely weird shit...then "something" happened to Mat Mladin at the very end of the race and his bike was all over the place.

You can hear the Suzuki's "chattering" as plain as day, Ducs too. I'm anxious to see what Mat says now? He was talking about traction control in his column on Superbike Planet, and yes he was all for it. Probably because he has been using it for quite sometime now.
Or has he?????????

According to Cyclenews, Ducati has been testing with it but not racing with it.

I'm not sure why no-one has protested a result yet? Seems like it would be a no brainer to bump your rider up a notch or two. It would only take one such protest and everyone would ditch the traction control for fear of losing points?

Because the wording of the rule leaves a loop-hole.
The rule states that a system cannot exist soley for the purpose of traction control.
Therefore if a team can prove that it is embeded in some other software used for a legal purpose, there is no penalty.
