I was having a great day until......
I got a fucking ticket. I was on my way home from riding the Virginia city truck route burning off what is left of my tires. So coming down the hill I was behind a couple of slow cars and I waited until there was a small straight , pulled out across the double yellow and lofted the front wheel and passed the cars, put down the front wheel when a Fire SUV came the other way and I pulled back over and continued on my way. Up the road there were a couple of cops giving some poor guy a bad time after he had hit some gravel and slid off the road. They waved me over and the Fire chief came around with red lights on and all. This guy was telling the cop that he had to swerve out of the way to avoid me (a huge lie) and that I was doing 70. (Bullshit, I was doing at least 90) I called him on it and asked how he knew how fast anyone was going and he said he was not here to argue with me, but just to give me a ticket. The cop had him sign the ticket and the Fire fuck left. The cop told me I was irritating him and just go wait for a ticket. The cop gave me a ticket for careless. Shit.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS fight a ticket. It doesn't take anything but time and it CANT get worse than it is. At the WORST you will lose some time and still have to pay the ticket and get points. At the BEST it will get dropped. Reality is usually somewhere in between. Most of the time for me, the cops will reduce the ticket to a non-moving violation, so you don't get poitns (and an insurance rate hike) but still have to pay some $$.

I am thinking about getting a shyster that works up there and knows all the hoople heads. But maybe someone who they don't know might be better, because they may be on their best behavior and won't be able to pull the good old boy bullshit.

The wannabe traffic cop (Fire fuck) didn't see the wheelie. He just saw me pull back over.
So you are saying Kawasaki's flagship color is slower? Me thinks not. Orange is for KTMs.
