'05 ZX10R......NEED TIPS FOR MORE POWER

hey guys i'm new here, from up in canada
bought an '05 10R last year and one of the fastest bikes where i come from. the only bike i couldnt beat was the '05 GSXR 1000. since i raced him i had a CB Devil high mount exhaust put on, along with a power commander, had it dynoed so that it was tuned properly. havent raced him with everything yet, but i still dont think i'll be fast enough to beat him. any tips anyone can give me for a power upgrade? or maybe shaving off weight?

try bmc race filter and factory pro velocity stacks.. Make SURE your cam timing is 107in/104 exhaust.. Cam timing is extremely important for this bike.. With these above mods you should be able to walk him

one tooth or two less for front sproket might help but will increase wheelie tendency in first gear so depends what gear you start race in. Might go one less in front and two up in back to help clear chain off swingarm.
He might have his geared down? If he already had pipe and power comander with custom dyno when you raced last you should have closed the gap some at least now I would think...

Make sure you have a well oiled chain.

try the recomendations that you can above and try again to see where you are at.....

Too bad ya put the Devil high mount on your not gaining any HP with that thing

Like salsa said drop a tooth in the front sprocket...

For at least 5 additional temporary HorsePower, you'll want to put in VP race fuel mr9 in an almost empty gas tank - preferably add as the gas guage is blinking, unless you drain out the pump gas which would be ideal before adding the mr9...

Full system oval stainless steel from Muzzy looks and performs well. Costs less..I have not dynoed but I noticed some improvment even without the custom map. Also have noticed Ricky Gadson and Ryan Schnits have used Muzzy full system with good results.... an option anyways....

just remember no matter how fast you are theres always someone faster,
even if on paper your bike should win, he might just have better technique/skill,
or even be lighter in weight than your or be able to tuck in behind the fairing better.

or you could try this
