Change of pace

Well has it woudlhave it I havent ridden the Zx10 much lately.....mostly on the track when i do....Kelly has decided that she doesnt want to ride much either on the street so I am making her bike a trackbike as well.....But I still like to put around town. As some of you know I have been looking at Goldwings now for sometime. but i dont think i am quite ready to settle into a Wing. they are great bikes, but for me they are the begining of the end of my sportbike days. And I am far from ready to see that happen. I just got my AM liscense for ASMA this year and it looks like I am going to ride the 600 and the 10 for ASMA.
Transferring the bikes from trackmode to street mode is a pain in the ass....so this was my answer to it all....

2006 Vulcan Nomad.....1600cc twin.....its alot smoother than I thought it woudl be, and very comfortable. I picked it up last saturday and put 600 miles on it this week going back and forth to work and around town. It only comes in the Green and Silver this year, but I liked the colors. I ordered a tach for it and a riders backrest for me when we bought it.
this aught to keep me from having to swap body stuff back and forth on the other bikes as much. My 10 will still see street duty once in a while... and I think that the 600 will stay mostly a trackbike.

Now if I can get Kerry and the folks at AreaP to make me an exhaust for this.......heheheheh

I have had it 8 days and it has 900 miles on it....I fukn love it....its comfy and gets good gas mileage....it does what its suppose to and does it well. I cant drag a knee on it, but the floorboards are taking a beating.......lol

My only gripe is that it doesnt come with a tach....you cant hear the exhaust at 65mph on the highway so it woudl be nice to be able to see what the motor is doing as you cant hear what its doing....

I have the tach and backrest for the rider on order....put the highway pegs on it this past week and they make a huged difference. I just did a 150 mile trip on it like it was nothing, I am ready to go again, but I have to work in the morning....

Worm, that Vulcan 2000 is a Hoss......I sat on one and it just felt huge.....cant see owning one. And it has to pull like a John Deere......lol

I think I woudl take a Mean Streak before a 2000, just personal taste though.

Hmmmm maybe I can dump the 600 and replace it with a 14.......hehehhehe

At least you didn't buy a Harley! If I was to buy a cruiser I think I would get a Vmax. I am anxious to see what the new Vmax is going to be like. Have fun!

You are off base there Mr. Lord!

A friend I have owns one of those 2000's and with a pipe it sounds like a 454 Chevy and also crusing behind us on our 10's and 12's for 1000 miles he was right behind us fo the most part. We were cruising at 100 to 120 mph!! I was impressed to say the least! And.......... it actually handles well and brakes well. It was also nice to have him as he carried all of our shit!
