6 footers and over chime in with comments about '06 zx10
I'm on the verge of a purchase and right now it's down to a choice between a '06 zx-10 or the honda 1krr.
I've sat on the bikes, got in ride stance and really like them both but am leaning toward the zx, it just looks meaner and doesnt come across as quite so 'vanilla', the honda is more comfortable as it's ergos are a bit more relaxed and roomy than the zx but that doesnt mean the the zx10 was necessarily 'uncomfortable' if you understand what I'm saying. The clip ons on the zx are lower, the rearsets are higher and the legs fit into the tank indent a hair better on the Honda than on the zx.
My question to you guys that are 6'plus is what is the street experience like on the zx? I'll be riding 90% street and 10% track like the typical statistics say and although I found it quite tolerable during my test sit in the showroom, you just cant seem to get a test ride in this town for anything but Triumphs. So for you guys that have experienced it on the street what are your thoughts good, bad or indifferent.

I'm exactly 6ft. The bars felt sort of strange to me.

I had a 2004 ZX10R w/ full ti force, thin gasket etc.. the bike is kind of tight for 6 footers and I'm 215. Its fine as long as you don't have full leathers on and then it is hard to get your knees out because of the foot pegs being so high.
Got to ride a 2006 ZX10R and no way in hell would I buy it because it is way more agressive and foot pegs are higher. Its actually weighs more as well. However you can tell that it is less wheelie prone. The seat is more comfortable than the earlier models. But if you aren't riding on the track less than 10% of the time the bike is not for you.. One reason I sold my 04 10 was it was so damn cramped when suited up. I've had 2 12r's in the past and I liked the height and the size of it better than the 10r but the 10r was more fun.

I'm 6'0" 205. Mine has vortex rearsets and they are set @ 3/4 in. lower than the stock pegs. IMO, this makes a HUGE difference for me. My inseam is 35".
Still a bit heavy on the wrists due to the lower bars. However, at @ 80 m.p.h. or so the air holds you up.

Okay, I am 6'0 220lb and have the 06 10r. I found it was real comfortable in the stock form but found it to cramped for the track. I have changed the clip ons, replaced the rear sets, replaced the rear shock with an Ohlins, replace the front forks with Ohlins road and track forks along with other fun stuff. I still ride on the street from time to time and it is comfortable for me with no problems to speak of..
