I have a dilema
In a couple of months I will have the money to buy a new bike.
I have a zx12r pretty mooded (its a keeper) a gixxer 02 for track days and race.
so Im not new (save the "buy a 600 coments" please)
I will not sell any bike.
1- I dont like the new R1, here in Dominican Republic they havee been breaking.
2- Honda is just slow.
So Im stuck with the K5 or the new 06 zx10, maybe 05 zx10 (maybe they will give me a good price)
I wonder wich is faster, handles better, etc.
How much Hp can I take out of the new 06 zx10 with pipe and PC3?
What is your opinion?

everything i've read and heard says that the 06 10R is the bike to have, especially for track duty.

164 hp? .. 154 hp would be my guess for the green ZX-10R for sale...Bike looks good otherwise if the price is right..
Having a 12R you like and a 02 Gixxer for track not sure why you need another sport bike .
why not buy a ZX-14?? ... oh yea you want another handling bike ...the 06 ZX-10R is a notch above what you have for handling . Available test results posted show the it as being quicker than the K5 around a given track.

Seen someone post a dynotest of a bone stock 06 ZX-10R with over 160 hp. 165 HP to be exact but a dyno figure can be messed with .. not many 06 dyno tested reported to get an average idea that is 100% credible... 165 HP sure sound good tho...

read up on what folks are saying abou the '06 Honda 1000rr, I wouldnt be so fast as to dismiss it as slow.

Wow, it was owned by a 52 year old owner! I guess that means it was only ridden to church and back, and maybe the occasional trip to the grocery store?
