Where can I find the Pilot Power 2 CTs?
Michelin has a new Pilot Power 2CT out and it is supposed to be even better than the original Powers. Anyone know where to get them?

They are improved for more lean angle

I could use a bit more traction,
I know for sure the last ones were dual compound. I have a set that are worn to the edges beyond the wear bars and the center looks new. I drove the thing back and forth to work and I have to ride quite a ways to the twisty bits. I have never had a set of tire last like these.

Damn Ted, you ride hard enough on the street to need more traction than the standard PPs offer?

The problem with race tires is getting them up to temp, the back roads don't give you warm up laps. Also I don't consider changing my tires every few weeks something I want to do.
You did a fly by with the Chickenhawk. huh??

you know what the chickenhawks are right.......lol
I know what you mean about the tires not heating up enough on the street.....woudl seem to me tha tif you are riding the Powers hard enough to make them slide on the street, then you shoudl be able to get Supercorsa up to temp.....the Pirelli temp is somewhere close to 145 degrees, give or take.....While Michelin says there Races are needing along the lines of 170 degrees.....I have had very good luck with the Supercorsas on the street, they just wear out very quickly......

I don't know about the chickenhawks.
I love to powers and they warm up quite easily. I want to stick with them. More traction is always good, and if there is more to be had, well I will take it. I did over heat the Michelins and they turned to grease, I let them cool and they were back to normal. That was a 100 degree day.

Now, I'm a chicken hawk, and you're a chicken. You gonna come quiet, or do I gots ta muss ya up?
Power Races probably would be a bad choice for the street. But get them anyway, and get on the track, Ted.
Chickenhawks are fair tirewarmers. I have a set of PD's.
I dunno about the 2CT PPs. But I'm ecstatic that the PR-C Power Race is available.
Ted, call Alex Florea at AFMotorsports (do a web search), see what he says about the availability. He may have you call Dale Keiffer in Vegas instead, for the street tires.

You can get the 2ct's on ebay. $331 for a set w/a 180 or 190 rear from a co. in the UK.

Thanks for the advice.
I would love to do the track thing, but it is a time thing with me. I have very little free time. The one bright spot is to be able to jump on my bike and head for the mountains and be back in a few hours. Also I ride to work when the weather is warm and many times do a lunch ride up to Virginia city and down the nasty ass truck route. Just the thing to relax a stressful day. I need tires that warm up almost instantly.
Also my problem with the track is I raced bikes for many years and love to start pushing the limits. Fuck, I am 52 and my bones don't heal like they used to. On the street I never, never go beyond 80%.
