'06 spotted

Read this over at ZX-10r.net:

''Went for a little putt up Ortega yesterday. There was a '05 and a '06 ZX10R sitting on the side of the road. So I pulled over to see what was going on and if they need any help. Sure enough there was another '06 ZX10R that had gone over the side.

The rider was fine, but all the bodywork, gas tank, and clutch cover were busted just to mention some of the damage. It turns out they were from the Kawi headquarters and were putting the breakin miles on the two '06s so they could turn them over to the mags.

It was pretty funny because they had put protective tape on the gas tanks and tail sections of both of the '06s to keep them from getting scratched up. Oops!!!''

Extreme Lean, was that you or someone else here? Fish? Freek?

Obviously trying to disguise it on public roads. The only way your going to disguise the '06 is to change the pipes. I can't wait for the review.

I'd figure if XL was with that group, he would have been on the '05. What I raise an eyebrow over and makes me think XL wasn't with them is the "tape thing". The '04 bike we rode didn't have such and there were four of us on 10Rs (XL was one a 636). If anything, the tape was just to keep from scratching anything up and they will look "perfect" for the reviewing riders.

What sucks is that most of the mags so far, have sung great praise of the '06 and any "complaints" were minor at best. The reason it sucks is that KMC won't likely need the opinions of "lowly people" like us to come out there and ride the bike. Maybe with the exception of Fish.... which is about as low as you can get.

ROTFLMFAO!

XL couldn't handle a 10R, much less a 'busa!
