Could be either so far as the technical appearance of the pic goes, but there's no reason why their product may not look like this, and I would think it less likely that they're providing a 'chopped pic that DOES NOT look like what they're selling, than either a chopped pic that is accurate or a real pic, with the real pic being the most likely (IMO, just out of practical concerns) possibility.

Comes out nice, from left hand view anyway. The right hand view, the heat shields may continue making it look bulky, so I dunno, but still likely an improvement.

To me best of all would be if they came out with a conventional exhaust for it...

I would bet it is a photochopped image. I saw something exactly like this months ago. If you notice the Akro pipes look like they are closer to the centerline than the stock pipes. At least they are not on the outside. I doubt that they could be moved closer to the centerline and raised at the same time. I think bodywork would be in the way. Definitely looks better than stock, however.

A vendor has a hard time advertising with 'chopped images that look different than the product he sends to his customers. Not saying it's impossible that he's advertising something looking different than he's picturing, but it's a dumb and risky game if he is.

Definitely a chop. There would be a close up and different angles if it was really on the bike.

You've never seen a photo from a retailer that was a single photo and not a close-up? Never happens?

if the picture's not chopped, then the tail of that bike sure the hell is!

Sure. The thing is, to not run into problems, it better be an accurate enough representation of what's being sold as to not get into any trouble with customers or the FTC.

Nowhere did I say it couldn't be a chop, what I said was that if a chop, it would make more sense that it's pretty accurate, doesn't look different (to what anyone would notice) than what will be sold. E.g. Akropovich presumably knows what they're aiming for before they build it and could supply such.

And from our standpoint, if it's an accurate representation, it's giving us the info we want.

If it's inaccurate, Hard Racing may have some pissed people on their hands. That's why I think it's unlikely to be much if any wrong, unless they are stupid, which I have no reason to expect.

I know this is a race bike, but those pipes look like they will cook your thighs. Much better looking though.

In the photos of the race bikes, the pipes are not tucked up nearly as high as the photoxhopped image of the street pipes.

You have the newest of the new info there... not even up on the Akrapovic site yet! Thanks!

As well as the nice increase in peak hp, it's a nice increase everywhere from 6000 rpm on up, not just in more pull everywhere but also, remarkably, a smoother curve, more predictable under acceleration.

It's also stronger between 3000 and 4000 as well.

In the toilet below 3000 though but this is so common with performance pipes, a price that is typically paid.

A touch behind between 4000 and 5000, but this is much more than compensated for by the improvements elsewhere. It does present the rider with the job of best keeping the bike spinning at least 6000 to be in the powerband, more preferably 7000, and yet more preferably 8000, but that's true stock as well, with the piped bike being more forgiving of being below 8000.

I still dunno why 1 is paired with 2, and 3 with 4, when that's assymetrical. Still a good result though.
