i want to put a -1 on the front, what is some input, i dont like the tall first gear, but i would think -1 and +2 rear would be too low, any input and all input appreciated, thanks.

I have a -1 +1 and it's a huge change. +2 would be alot. What I have makes the bike fun to ride. Although I figure I'll need to take some back when I get my pipe and the rest of the shit that goes with it installed.
By the way this is all that will fit with stock arm and stock chain.

With a swingarm extension you won,t have any problems going -1 front -2 rear ; matter of fact you could go -2 front and -2 rear . But...leaving stock swinarm you will just need to short shift in first gear which you may find yourself doing anyways with the 10R....... regardless....
Bike's front tire just goes up in the air in first gear at high RPM ; more so with full system and power comander and custom tune I expect. I just the have full muzzy with power comander with BCM racing filter and always have to short shift with lower gearing of -2 front anfd -2 rear.
I like it that way for every day use ...wait till I get the custom map with dyno done ,then I will be happier with the extension ... but .try just the -1 to see if thats good enough for you first I would advise.
Hope this helps.
Happy New year.!!!!!!

I have -1 and it is a big difference, power is moved down a couple thousand RPM in the band..Torgque feels more (at least torque feeling, not the actual torque). Bike lifts a tiny bit easier then before, totally stock the bike lifted so easily that it can't lift too much easier anyway. I could roll on at 6 or 8k and the front will lift so easily...Just drop -1 in the front and leave it at that...there is absolutely know reason to drop any more...if you can't figure that out then your not riding the bike to it's potential. If you grab full throttle down low at 2k RPM and hold it till the front lifts at 5k (if done properly) then let off and hold it properly, you should be able to keep the front an inch off the ground all the way up to 100+ mph EASILY...take your bike to the track if you don;t understand...I have seen many people run +1 in the front at the track and the bike was a beast, lifting in 1st and 2nd which you dont want anyway...you want to stay planted and push the limits before the wheel lifts and you have take off the throttle.

It all depends on what you want from your bike, because of where you ride or how you ride!!!
Do you want rollon power, wheelies, save the clutch due to riding in traffic, RoadRace, DragRace...Then you need to get use to the gearing change, it teaches you to have a smooth throttle motion...
-1 +1 = 3 1/2 teeth up
-1 +2 = 4 1/2 up
-2 = 5 up
Most believe going a tooth down in the front is = to 2 1/2 teeth up in the rear, some believe its actually 3 teeth...The reason for going down in the front is to get the Kawasaki to react faster since most Kawasakis have lower torque compared to suzukis...So, there really is no best gearing set up because everyone has and likes different styles of riding...You need to test for yourself, or just do whats popular and adapt to it...

you need to go 2 down on the front and 8 up at the back... then you should really fit a 12 bar as you learn to ride it properly....oops sorry...
iv owned three x ZX10R's runnin on standard gearin... i also stunt an old rrt blade which i changed the front and rear sprockets a lot until im now 2 down on front and 8 up on rear.
I know what you mean bout low down on the ten and iv ridden the gixer too but have you ridden a six hundred?? do you remember the lack of midrange and the fact that they are set up for all or nuthin ridin... im sorry but how much torque do you need i can spin the rear in the dry at a slight angle with just the torque.. its got buckets all through the range... get a triumph for the grunt thing by a ZX10 to take off at 11,000 thats my opinion

yes no problem AND it will extend the wheelbase some 3-4mm (which is good)
Another option is to install a 16t and a 112L chain that will extend the wheelbase some 19mm (again a good thing)
