I dont dispute that the 10 is faster, there is no doubt that power wise the ZX10R has more than the Fireblade. I am saying that the Blade is easier to ride at speed, is certailnly more planted and handles well. The 10 when pushed hard on a standard set up becomes a handful to the majority of people riding them. I doubt very much that anyone on this forum could ride one to its limit, Where as the Blade gives confidence to push.

ANYONE that can ride a 10 to its limits should be getting paid by KHI.......same is true of all the liter bikes....

Shortcircuit there isnt enough power for you judging by the bikes that you ride. You need a Blade!!!!

Your comment doesn't make sense trackwak, please explain.
Anyway I wouldn't ride a Honda out of choice, I have more brand loyalty than that

Never mind shortcircuit just taking the mickey!!! Judging by your choice of bikes you are'nt used to that sort of power. Stick with those golden oldies

Even though you confirm your comments were made in jest they still do not make sense, please clarify. Why are you making a judgement of my power requirements based on the bikes I ride & why do I need a Blade?
The bikes I have suit my current circumstances & the local A & B roads more than adequately. I would be the first to admit I'm not used to the sort of power that a 10R puts out, so what?
Anyway what is so oldie about them, the current ZRX is an evolution of the GPZ1100S from what I can see (albeit with twin shocks & retro style) which probably in reality makes it more modern than the ZRX & the 500S is still available most parts of the world.
Why should I stick to them?

Masterbike has to be a good indicator of the bikes relative capabilities with riders of various abilities
http://www.kawasaki.co.uk/content.asp?Id=3400B28C008&PId=6549116
MCN test report on new 10 quotes the bike as 3 secs faster round Autopolis than the old one. Honda have not indicated any significant changes to the '06 production Blade, so far MCN has the new 10R as the one to watch out for next season BUT Honda did not win a major rider's championship last year so HRC may be out for a result. I guess this will more likely have a bearing on the race package for the Blade. Making the production Blade more extreme would probably have a negative effect on sales.
Minor oops above but I have corrected the link to the BSB results website as below.

Hi trackwak
There you go telling me what I should be doing again. I guess it's easier for you than answering my questions, shame your responses might be intriguing or then again, probably NOT Guess we will never know.
BTW have you analysed the results for BSB Superstocks? You should come to the conclusion that the 10's have done quite well in '05, especially as it's their 2nd season with the bike & the opposition have been running serious 1 litre contenders a lot longer. I'll summarise; in National Superstock, best result of the season came from Ollie Bridewell on the Vivaldi Racing bike, placing fifth in the championship & there were 10's on the podium most races latter part of the season. Best Honda - there did not appear to be any! In the Cup, there were seven Kawasaki's in the top twenty with Paul Veazy coming second overall on the Astro Kawasaki, with James Edmeades third and Martin Buckles fifth. Best Honda in the 22nd. What's so bad about those results?

Feb issue of TWO turned up today. They have track tests of the new Blade with Niall MacKenzie on board & the ZX-10R at Autopolis.
The improvements to the Blade are reckoned to make it a better track bike, 'sharper on track without losing any of it's user friendliness' + lower gearing & sharper looks.

Your last comment was probably not meant as a compliment but I'll take it as one anyway
I was actually hoping for a job at TWO but MCN would be a start as I have a fair idea how to make a cup of tea & to clean motorbikes
