I got a quote for $82.25 a month.
Just wondering if it's good or bad?

ocat you insurance preimums are going to vary from area to area, with your driving record, with the bike you have...your age...if you are married....if you are a man or a woman....too many variables to ask a broad question like that...

your quotes woudl be a God send to my 20 year old brother with a crappy driving record and a 04 GSXR1k Maladin Edition.....

To me they sound reason able, but I have no tickets on my record, am married and 36 years old....My guess is tha tif you can get insurance full coverage for less than $100 a month its not really bad......I pay $350 a month for full coverage on my 03 Duramax, 98 1/2 ton, 04 ZX10R, 01 ZX6R, my house and my 05 26ft Fleetwood Gearbox.....USAA

State Farm has pretty good rates. The best part is they don't care what kind of bike it is (cruiser, touring, sportbike, etc). They aren't perfect though but not terrible. I pay around $360/ year for full coverage. Shopping around for motorcycle insurance really pays off.

Another note: I had Erie insurance. Thier rates weren't bad but I found out how lousey thier service was when my bike got stolen. I had insurance through them for several years. I didn't have any claims or tickets up to when the thieves made off with my bike. I was on my way to Daytona when it got stolen. I purchased a new one that same day. I called my agent on Monday morning and gave them the info for the new bike. The next day I got a message from my agent saying that they won't insure my new bike because they stopped writing policies for sport bikes. My old bike was the same exact bike as the new one and now I don't have insurance. To say the least I was VERY pissed off. It was bad enough to have my bike stolen while I was on vacation but then to have this happen also made it even worse. I called my agent back and explained that I was in Florida and won't be home for a week and I had to have coverage on the new bike. The agent said that they would write an emergency policy but when I got back home they would have to find me another company to insure my bike. I told her to get prices for my bike and for all of my other vehicles. I told her that if that is the way that Erie does things that they weren't getting any of my business at all. When I got home, all of a sudden Erie changed thier minds and they decided to insure my new bike. To me though it was too late and I switched companies any how. I saved money by switching anyhow. So to make a long story short, I don't recommed Erie Insurance but they probably won't insure you anyhow.
