I can squeeze 3000 miles outta my Diablo Corsas. The NESBA guys have decent deals, but you can probably find a local guy to give you the same break.

I paid $300 for my last set of 120/190's locally.

Holy Hell Bat Man!!!!!!!!!! I only get about 2500 out of my 014's and I was very happy with that. I wore them 1/2 out on 4 trips across the Cherohala Skyway in 1 day. The rest of that 2500 miles was just normal rides. If a man just rode normally I could see getting lots better mileage. The 12 is like a Fat kid on a pair of Reeboks. Lots of abuse from the weight and power if you're runnin him hard.

I swear by Pilot Powers. They are the nuts. Never felt them give on me and I've done over 20,000 miles on two bikes using Pilot Powers, they last a long time also.I can get around 4500 miles on a 190 rear. They are superb.

I had BT-014's and I liked them they were a good street tire. However I'm riding Pilot Powers right now and they seem like a great street tire. I got 2500 out of the rear BT-014 and I'm pushing 2000 on my PP's and they still look brand new.

I notice a much quicker turn in on the pilot powers.

I loved my Diablo's but I was considering 014's because it took forever to get the Pirelli's

silver and bovine, we've ridden the stradas as well as the roadtec z6... both are awesome... bovine... if you;re doin palomar and that's it, then best to stick with the diablo, but if you're doing palomar periodically and commuting, then the strada would be the correct choice.

I'd preface that by using the Diablo front and a Strada rear....

About to print a full writeup on those tires like monday/ tuesday... and you can read it here)...

and no.... the stradas are awesome even if you ride like a super stud like spongehead.

I stopped checking milage after the third set.( '00 12R). I doubt I get 1500 out of a rear. My 12 must be beat to shit! lol
I bought that sumbitch to gooooooo. Many twisties too, but every time through the gears just tears the rubber off.
I could never have the restraint to get 3-5k out of one. I try to come out of turns hard, to scrub some off the edges, but there is no keeping up with center wear.'Cept a trackday, of course.
Just went through a set of Corsas, Very, very pleased with them. Those, and the 14's kick ass. Blowin' through a couple sets of 209gp take-offs now,and believe it or not, no issues. ONCE WARMED UP!. 190/60 on the rear makes it twitchy at times, because of the added rear height.

I am running the Continental Conti-Force Max. I don't ride that hard and I am more concerned about mileage then all out traction. I didn't like the original 218's because they wore too quick. I only got 5000 miles out of them before they were shot. The Continentals have almost 6000 on them and I probably will be able to get another 2000 out of them. They handle fairly good though they do seem to ride a little rough. The price is good also. The set can be had for around $200.
I tried a set of Shinko tires on my last 10 and decided that I would not buy another set of them. They weaved until they got warmed up. I had tires do that before but not nearly as bad as these. I also had a lot of headshake with these tires and they also wore too quickly.
Another "cheap" tire that I used was the Maxxis Super Maxx. I can't really complain about them. They handled as can be expected and wore decent. The price can't be beat though. A rear tire can be purchased for around $80.

simple simon, u'll definitely wanna consider trying a set of diablo stradas. nearly as good grip as regular diablos (or M1s, or 014s) but double the mileage IME.

Pilot Power, I have almost 3500 miles on this set, and they still look very good, I expect to get about 5k out of them. Crashtech got like 5k out of a set on his 12. I got almost 3k out of my last set and the front tire had 3 track days, and the rear had 2.

The Diablos Corsas, the 014's, 012SS's, SC's, and 218 and 208 never gave me even close to the mileage as the powers. Though the SC's handled better as my suspension was set up with them, and they give better traction on the track.

-I checked them out and they looked pretty good. I never had a Pirelli tire before. Maybe when my Conntinentals wear out I will give them a try. They are a little more expensive but with some more price shopping might do some good. I did notice that they weren't offered in the 190-50/17 size though. The closest they had was a 185-55/17. I am guessing that that size would be about the same height but would be a little narrower.

the metzler roadtec Z6s should do about the same job too btw.
they do have 190s, but they came out later, and maybe supply is still limited. i know back in late june when i got mine, they didnt have the 190s available yet, think they were scheduled for early to mid july. but they definitely do offer them.
