Heated gloves

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with heated gloves. I found that my hands are the hardest part of me to keep warm when it is extremely cold out. I made a pair heated gloves with a pair of winter riding gloves and 24 feet of 32 guage wire. They worked pretty good except they had hot spots that would almost burn my hands. The gloves are about worn out now after 13 years of riding and I need to replace them. Any suggestions would be apprieciated.

Yep, I have the Gerbings, they work great. Tho I don't ride the 10 in that weather, have a Triumph Sprint for that.

Simple - I use heated grip elements from Aerostich - They fit under your stock grips, are easy to install, and at $27, inexpensive. I've had them on for 2 years now and they work great!

Heated Grip Kit #1400

Detailed Photos A flexible, adhesive, wrap-around heating element with printed-circuit type elements that fit between the handlebar and grip, keeping your digits from turning into frozen turkey feet of limited utility during cold weather rides. We all remember what that phenomenon feels like, right? Comes with two elements, wiring, resistor, and an on/off, hi/lo switch. Super, almost unbelievably effective, and a great comfort as well as a safety enhancer. For 12V systems. Draws 2 Amps/28 Watts on low, and 3 Amps/40 Watts on high.

Price: $27.00

I have heated grips on my 12 R and while they do provide decent warmth, it is all in the palms of my hands. The backs of my fingers still get cold. I believe heated gloves would be a better solution .

I usually put heated grips on my bikes. They are nice when it is cool out and especially when the weather is just starting to change and I have my summer gloves on. They aren't enough though when it gets really cold (below 20 F). If the grip heaters are turned on high your palms will cook but the back side of your hands will freeze. The gloves are the way to go. With the heated grips installed then you always can use both if the weather gets terrible.

I should have mentioned that I'm in AZ. A cold morning ride in Jan is 40F. Heated grips are plenty to take the edge off cold fingers. Below 20 huh......man, when I lived in WI, that's when the snowmobiles came out....

I wouldn't mind a set of gloves myself. I tried a bike with grips and didn't like it.

I don't like bulky winter gloves. I wear the new Gerbing G3 gloves. They provide a lot of feel and are very comfortable. Good heat output.

If you need more info, I have a full review:
