They wouldn't let me in with it. But you gotta admit, even shiny black, a turd is still a turd...

beans, who took those pictures? post a link for credit!
nice pics. but dude, 1700?!? u nuts.
good to see everyone, esp those who i didnt expect to see (dodge, dave, tom, dana, miklos (who is NOT a little blond swede), got2byellow). good time at show and afterwards. not too much exciting at the show unfortunately. 14 looks better in person (definteily smaller) but still not crazy about it. feels similar to teh 12, with wider bars and a far better seat. for all the reports of it feeling so light that people thought it had no engine... it felt about right to me. a bit lighter than my 12 but i'm rpetty sure it was sans gas, oil, and probably battery. maybe the center of gravity is a bit lower (the seat certainly feels like it is) but i dont think it's gonan be all that much lighter than the 12. the 1000RR (with gas & all mind u) felt a touch heavier than the empty 14, but i think that is more a reflection of the honda bein damn heavy than the 14 being light. the 6 and 10 from kawi still feel like about the lightest bikes there, but again i dont know the varrying states of gas, water, batteries from all teh bikes so it's a little hard to tell. i really wish they woudl have all the bieks ready to roll with half a tank of gas to get an honest comparison.
i'm still liking the Ulysses, esp with hard bags, tho i think it's mostly that i'm in love with the concept. i still dont like the engine and the seating position is a little too upright for me. wish it were a touch sportier. i swear suzuki must make teh smallest ergoes cause i can never seem to get my legs in place on any of them (actually, the 750 was not too bad). BMW K1200R is damn nice in person. feels surprisingly light, but that's likely a result of the positioning of the engine making for a REALLY low center of gravity. 2WD russian sidebar was pretty funky. YPAL or something like that was the manufacturer name.

Fish, you said you'ld post the pics yesterday and you still didn't answer my question of what was on the underside. I'm wondering whether it is being tuned for torque as a sport/tourer or sportbike.
