I'm assuming you mean the shorty 05 gsxr 1k style? I haven't heard one on a zx10, but heard one on a gsxr and it was loud as all hell.

interesting as their claimed sound levels are in the same range as most other aftermarket pipes.

the gixxer does not have a sound dampner in the header...the zx10r has it in the header...the new gix1k is much louder then the zx10r...if their exhausts weren't so expensive they would have sooooo much business! Think about coming into the US market with those at $400, maybe $500 USD. People would pay up to $500 for those, but they ask $800 USD or some crazy like that.

We pay $500 pounds and on top of that $80 pounds shipping. I just thought the currency conversion for 500 pounds was around $800 USD...we pay the same as the UK but our shipping is double your shipping...not worth it...they make so much money off those pipes! It is just some slapped together titanium with welds. They probably use a cast to measure up the pipe and then start welding, after each exhaust is made they get ready to sell it. They dont sell very many so they are likely making a bundle. If they sell 100 every year for the zx10r then your looking at 100,000 bucks-cost = 90,000 bucks profit

Take a look at www.speedycom.co.uk ( or racefit on ebay for zx10r ), they sell racefit for zx10r to the states $750 plus$62 shipping works out roughly 450 u.k.pounds( no tax for you guys). u.k. customers pay 515 pounds inc' postage-equates to $900. still way overpriced i know, it just seems crazy considering it's made over here.some nice pics on there though!
