They're still hugging the commode after seeing the oem plumbing in person. Give it time.

Kerry has already said that he doesnt have a bike to fit his companies exhaust...i am sure he will get one, and I am sure he will produce a top notch product for it when he does....

kbryant, robmuzzy, anyone that makes exhausts:
are you or do you not know yet - gonna make the exhausts for the 06 10r a side mount, a high mount, a true undertail, or like the stock setup and its gonna be a dual high mount?

HDL - Bless you my son.
b - that's not too far from the truth! There are 3 different areas to attach a "Slip-On/Bolt-On". Just mufflers under the tail, Slip-On behind the back of the engine, and/or a half system bolt-on at the headpipes under/towards the front of the engine. Of course the advantage with the later is that you can get rid of the cats and presumedly have more options to lose more weight, make more power.
beans - yes.
I can assure you that when a bike falls mysteriously from the sky and lands at our facility, we will attack it with a vengeance. The exhaust system will not only make power and look correct, but it will hug the chassis like a scared Marsupial.

My apologies. The love and blessings are for all beings; or "beans" for that matter. Your contributions are obviously not going unnoticed. It was simply felt that you were secure enough with your own inner feelings and strength of mind, to not need trivial blessings.....
Bless you my son. Now move along beans. Nothing to see here....

Is that what the '06 10R exhaust sounds like with the OEM cans?

KB, aside from hugging the chassis like...whatever it was that you said, are you considering making an exhaust that would be in the non-standard location?

Marsupial. You know, like a pouched mammal. Can't hug much closer than that.
Anyway... Oh yea most definetly, I have a "non-standard" design already done in Solidworks. Simply awaiting the actual patient to begin operating on. We are not necessarily going to "go with the flow"....

Good, if I go with an 06 I'll need the pipe on the side...slammed bike + undertail exhaust = disaster.

from a business standpoint, is there more money lost in the r&d and production/development when exhausts are offered for a single moto but in different designs - meaning locations?
how well do u like solidworks? ive always use pro-e.

beans - No not really. It can take a while to recoup those R&D and product development costs though. I've been doing it long enough where you basically know the starting points on tuned lengths, diameters, merges, cores, etc. So for the first say 75% of the R&D, it's reasonably straight forward. Lot's of cutting, twisting of prototypes, dyno runs, etc. The last 25% can be very time consuming because we're focusing on the final tuned package, attenuation or quality of sound, fuel mapping/jetting issues (if any), and last but not least - tooling/fixtures. When we design exhaust that are destined for production, you always have to keep in the back of your mind the ease or difficulty of producing hundreds or thousands of them. That can be more time consuming than everything else combined.
As far as solidworks goes - yea love it. My son is a master at it. I had pro-e when I ran White Brothers. Great package but way more than we needed for designing exhaust, triple clamps, wheel hubs, etc. I think if we were designing race cars or something of that nature, then pro-e would be our first choice. We actually hired a fully degreed pro-e specialist to design/draw components. Down here, guys who have a handle on pro-e make really good money. He left to take another job outside of our industry, but luckily our CNC operator who used Mastercam could run pro-e as well. So we were able to combine the job into one person.
