Which new bike for me?

Well I ride a 04 zx10r and am looking to buy a new bike. I know we are all open minded so Kawasaki is not the only one I am looking at. I am thinking BUSA, zx12r, or the 05 gixxer 1000K5. Anyone have experience with the gixxer 1000. It would be nice to have some low and mid range power...the zx10r has great power but it lacks from 3-8k and from the dyno charts the gixxer 1000 has a jump in those ranges of about 5+rwhp. What you guys think about the zx10r versus the gixxer 1k...the gixxer looks just as nice, if not better. Hands down the 04 zx10r is better than all the 04 bikes but that 05 gixxer looks niceeee...input anyone?

How about the new 06' ZX-10r. it's supposed to have improved mid range?

If midrange power is the issue and the 1200's are on the table, why would you get a 1000?

Agreed. No comparision if you're looking for low-mid; get a 12 or Busa.

Otherwise, the GSXR1k has a much flatter torque curve than the 04/05 10 and is somewhat easier to handle as such. But you're really splitting hairs with them. Either one is a great choice.

zxhoya- yeah, but i want to stay under the $10k out the door total. If I buy new then I can get for 10-11k plus TT&L and all sorts of crappy fees and the bike is totally stock. I will likely get a used 05 gixxer for around $9k-9.5k out the door and it will have a slip-on already on it.
bovines- midrange is only slightly better with the 1200-1300's and the bikes are heavier...it would actually be smarter to go with an sv1000s or rc51 but then i lose high end super grunt that all the liters have...the 1200s cant really be thrown around and they just dont look as good as the other bikes. zx12 is decent, but thats about it...i wish they would do something with the busa tail, anything to make it look just a little bit better.

The new Gixxer has pretty much the same power delivery as ZX10. It's not like 01-04. There comes a point when you make a certain amount of power and you want more. They had to take away from the bottom and mid to get more top-end.
