Motor Oil
I was wondering if it is safe to use syntec oil during the early stage of the bike say under 1k miles? Or will it be better to use the regular motor oil first and change it syntec oil after couple of thousand miles. Will it make any difference during the break in stage?

Its all personal preferance......I ran mine on regular oil for the first 5000 miles, I iwll switch to synthetic now.......but I change oil every 1500-1800 miles with the the regular oil.
When i do trackdays I change the oil before everyone. I cnat see spending the extra money on synthetic when I change the oil as often as I do. When I am not doing the trackdays, I will use the sythentic and change it at normal intervals.

Being able to extend oil change intervals is a less significant advantage of synthetic oils. Reduced friction and being able to withstand much higher temperatures are significantly more important to motorcycle riders. I changed to synthetic @ 612 miles.

yep...my dealer told me changing oil at every 3k miles with regular is absolutely fine...and people who use synthetic really dont need to...he said synthetic intervals can be extended to 4-5k miles but by then you dont want to have that dirty oil in the bike...so it makes no real sense...he said if you change oil every 3k miles with regular it is perfectly fine and there isn't even a need to go changing it every 1-2k miles like many obsessive riders do...unless the bike sits for 8 months or more, then you can change it without hitting 3k miles.
