Because of wide pics.
If you slide the slider bar at the bottom of the page it will be possible to read the remainder.
When writing posts after other posts with wide pics, it helps to manually put in carriage returns ("enters") prior to the point where word wrap would occur -- e.g., I'm deliberately milking
this sentence to the point where a manual carriage return was needed to avoid the last words of the sentence disappearing off to the side.

the exhaust looks like old parts off a ATV. the exhaust exposed under the bike, not much point to having a lower cover on it. the bike may work well but it looks so bulky. the US model will most likely have stalks for the front turn signals.as for the R1 with retro colors, that is style!! would never buy a yama, but I like the look.

Hey KB, does this look like a bolt-on muffler to you?

It's basically a "Dual Stage" Bolt-On. Very similar to the Honda 954. The mufflers bolt-on after the S-bends, but they also bolt-on under the engine after the headpipes. We use to call these "Half-Systems". You could purchase a bolt-on muffler, or you could purchase the half system that bolted on at the collector junction and essentially converted your muffler then to a conventional "Slip-On". Understand?

I guess I can get used to the front. being visually similar to the 6R. The exhaust... help me KB-wan...
I hope the bike puts down a hurting. If it does, I may get one when it's time to up-class (that ain't yet).

Mr. KB, sir.
Would it be feasible to make a 4 into 2 into 1 or would you stick with the original layout? 4 -2 - 1 - 2. What about a slip on that is just one muffler from the point before Kawasaki splits the exhaust for the 2 mufflers. Have you seen one IRL yet?

I think it looks OK...It's not as good looking as the 12 but...hey, they all can't be Halley Berry!
Everyone is complaining about the stock exhaust, but who here has a stock exhaust on their bike now? It'll grow on everyone. I'll wait until 07 when they come out with the faster Candy Thunder Blue and then the beast may have a playmate...
Baby got back too!!! I like cushion for the pushin!!!!

Did anyone notice that the pipes are not symmetrical????
Look at the pic that shows the both exhaust tips... one is real small, the other real
large... odd....

Uh, the Pastor said something along those lines, looking at the early pictures, as an argument for photochop.
I (also) think it's just the angle.

Photo angle....
I reckon ditch the pillion pegs, chuck on a seat cowl, fender eliminator, new pipes and it won't look so bad.

I probably do need glasses, haha.
One of the above pics does look like the tip is upside down, but i stil reckon the above pic is just the angle of the bike, now where's my glasses.

rofl...
Stupid, but I wonder if it gets decent gas mileage. I'd love to get one of these for everyday riding and keep the 12.
Currently have a choice between the 12 and my z28...

My point is that they must have doing a lot of testing with different pipes, tips etc for
sound/power whatever... Lots of pictures have different pipes...
And on the production bike part of the cans are silver, and on the photo above the cans
are black...

Ooooh, spotted more differences... on most of the pics, the word "1000" is under
the Ninja on the side fairings....
But some of them DON'T have the "1000"
I like the black cans better than the silver cans... see pics above.

Holy Crap!!!!
Check the official Kawasaki website and see that the green model has optional larger
injectors, (not offered in California) which gives it 13 more hp than the other models!!!!!
Green one will be the fastest!!!! As usual....
