I've had better luck cutting the picture of the tool out of their flyer and using that.

Hey EL, to save your batteries, take a small piece of plastic, like a straw cut in half and then about an inch or so long and slide it inbetween on of the cells or the positive end. opens the circuit and do not have to remove the batteries. just the plastic.

quote: Snap on only made/makes 12 point.
I have 6 pt. and 12 pt. Snap-On sockets. I just had to specify that I wanted 6 pt. when I visited the Snap-On toy store on wheels. I used to have an account with Snap-On. A very dangerous thing indeed.
When I started SCCA racing, I joined an existing team. Their advice was "Do not take Snap-On tools to the races." Their reasoning was that Craftsman was better (?), and cheaper and that people would just steal Snap-Ons. As it turned out, we had a major thrash to repair a wrecked car Saturday night. At some point during this all-nighter, I noticed that ONLY my Snap-On tools were scattered around this wrecked Formula Ford. When we got back after that race, the crew chief for the team established an account with Snap-On.

I wasn't talking about sockets. I have both 6 and 12 point in both deep and shallow in all my 3/8th sizes. 6 point in all the 1/4 and 1/2 sizes.
These are what I was talking about "Flex head"

Snap-on only makes them in 12 point where MAC makes them in 6 point.

Also if you have any heart problems don't go to Snap-on .com and look at prices.

especially when I don't return them to the "proper" place in the tool box.......
it's true he told me so....his exact words were "you know, I just LOVE it when you use things and don't put them back".....
what, do you think I took that comment to literally?
Actually JJ you didn't take his quote too literally , he really means it ! You see , it's like a treasure hunt for him ( like easter eggs ) , in fact what youu should do is get Roscoe to help you hide them all over the house and yard ( but not the garage ! ) and wait for the joyous treasure hunt to begin , I'll bring the camcorder for future reference about how much fun he had and the "evidence" can later be used in the ensuing court proceedings ... Just call when your ready .

No, no, no, no... Have you ever heard the expression
" Labor rates:
$35 per hour
$45 per hour if you watch
$75 per hour if you worked on it first"
???
There is a reason for that.
Second, they are not just tools, they are a way of life. A person spends most of their life collecting them.
Notice I said when she puts them back, that happens very seldom. I bought her a set of Craftsmans and she lost most of them . Just disappeared into thin air.
Nothing worse than reaching in your tool box and not finding a tool where it is supposed to be. You plan a job on knowing you have the proper tools. Running to the tool store in the middle of working on something doesn't cut it. That is why we buy Snap-on, The seldom break and you don't have to stop and run to Sears and argue with an idiot. If you ever worked flat rate, you would understand. And even worse reaching for a hammer that disappeared and having to spend $85 to replace it, because someone doesn't have enough respect for other peoples stuff. Grrrr.

mmm, no, never heard of those labor rates.......and yes, if she came to your work place and started mixing up your tools, I would agree with you (hubby worked flat rate for years), but, I'm assuming that you were talking about your tool box in you personal garage...(no flat rate there).....oh, and you have NEVER lost anything of hers, right ....as for a "collection", ok, I'll give you that.....
oh, and yes, I do hate when I reach over and the tool I want is not there.....did I mention my hubby works out of town (get it, he's the tool....ah ah...pretty funny huh...oh forget it)....

That was funny, very good.
No I have never lost anything of hers, never. I never use anything of anyones without asking. And when I do use something of someone else's, I return it in as good or better shape than I got it. It is a matter of respect. People beg me to use their cars, they come back with gas, clean, and usually repaired if there was something wrong. Yes, they are my personal garage tools.

Okay let's put it back on track. I bought the Hanson socket organizers for for my 1/4 inch stuff and they are awesome. I have been using socket rails for many years, but the Hanson things are cool, they use a post that sticks through the socket that has the size printed on it, and the base of the post is sized so that you cannot put too small of a socket on it. The organizer has posts for deep and shallow sockets on it. I am going to switch everything over.
