keyless starts

I want to get rid of the keybox. Without buying the kit harness how do I go about this?

When you say "keybox"... do you mean the ignition switch or do you Live in europe and have the Immobilizer ???

The place , the only place where you put your key in, turn it, and start your engine. Basically want to remove the Ignition switch and use a toggle or the on/off switch.

Other than a race harness, you will need to find the 'magic wire' and load it with the correct resistance. Don't know what wire it is, but without it, the ECU won't allow the fuel pump to come on, etc...

Bingo, that's why the remote start didn't work.
If you find the magic wire please post it up.

we are running the bast in a mini sprint race car. you eill need to find the conector for the switch and locate the grey wire running from it to the ecu. the white wire is hot all the time the brown wire runs to the ecu and is the controlled hot wire to the ecu. you will need to splice a 100 ohm wire into the brown wire and splice the other end of the resistor into the grey wire this cut the voltage down to aprox 6 volts and the thing runs. you can also find this resistor in your key switch behind the black plactic cover you could use this but your switch would be trash.

do not cut the brown wire in two it must still run to the ecu just splice the resistor into it and then splice the other end of the resistor wire into the grey wire. clear as mud
