Leather repair

Has anyone used barnacle bills for a suit repair? If so what was damaged on the suit and how much did it run to repair. I am trying to see if it would be cheaper to fix my Joe rocket Speedmaster suit, or just buy a different suit. I am using my AGV for now, but its not perforated, and its HOTTTTTTTTT......

Any other repair facilities out there that someone has used?

Its mostly just seams tha tlet go, but there is a spot on the shoulder that needs to be patched....

just got off the phone with Joe Rocket and they said no way. They will only fix defective workmanship, not crash repairs.....oh well.....lol

the rep told me to look locally for a tailor that does leather, they are only using a heay duty nylon thread that any boot place would have...sounds odd to me, but ok.......

just called Barnacle Bills... found out they are only 65 miles from me, I thought they were in NC....talked to the fella that answered the phone, he tells me its about 30 dollars a seem to fix, and about 30 dollars to do a patch job.....depending on the damage he said he can do it while I wait. I am looking at about 100 dollars to get my speedmaster suit back.....man I am glad about that. My AGV isnt perforated, and its HOTT.......and the trackday in RA is going to be hot enough without that thing.......

sounds good...Dont know why Joe Rocket wont fix their suits...Hmm, they made a DragRace suit for Rickey Gadson, so then whats the incentive to buy a Rocket then???

Glad I and the rest of the guys reading this know now!!!...I will definately stick with Vanson, they repair, modify and clean everything they sell...Bates does too...
