Tingling on the zx10r engine noise?
Okay I just got an 04 zx10r...I get a tingling sensation, almost a rattling kinda, anyone else have that or have had it before? I feel it more when I am riding and push my legs close to the frame (tuck in), especially while accelerating. I also notice a slight rattle on deceleration, if I park the bike and grab a little throttle and listen for the deceleration, their is a slightly rattle. Anyone hear this? I heard kawa's are naturally noisy so it might be all bikes, but coming from a honda everything used to be so smooth.

Same issue here.. went from a Suzuki GSXR750 to this bike. The Suzuki was really tight, no rattles or anything. Then at 9,800 miles it grenaded and shot a 3 inch piece of the casing out the front. LOL
To answer your question... it is normal. Ride the bike and enjoy it! This is the most rattly, buzzing, ticking, loud engine I have ever owned... and it performs flawlessly
I've got 13,000 miles on my 10 since september and it just keeps getting better

When I first got mine it was noisy as hell and it was music to my ears. Since then it has quieted down much to my dismay. The only welcome note is that the valve ticking has gone away. Kawasaki is very good about getting the clearances right and once they settle in the they are very close to spec.

Mine sounds like a small washer is tingling or rattling from like 2k-6k and then it either goes away or the rumble of the engine makes it go away. I HATE it. If I squeeze my thighs close to the frame I feel it and hear it better. The bike already has 1700 miles on it. will it go away or should I take it to the dealer before the warranty is up? Thanks guys.
