TFI vs. PC3
I just picked up a 10 about a week ago and I love this scoot!
Here is my question, I bought some stuff off a guy and I got a tfi box along with akro slip on cause I couldn't pass up the deal.
I was gonna go with the pc but now I got the techlusion.
Are there any major drawbacks to the tfi boxes?

The Techlusion people are somewhat spin-offs of the original Dynojet gang if I recall correctly. Mark Dobeck, the original Dynojet guru was and/or is affiliated. Mark is a very smart guy. I tested their product when it first arrived on the market several years ago. I'm not sure you'll find anywhere near the data base that Dynojet has. The TFI is I believe much cheaper (so that's a plus). If I recall, you just manually started changing things on the control box based on your stock fuel map and/or how the bike was running. So it's kinda a "generic" application that fits a wide range of bikes with the same unit. There wasn't any map per say and/or laptop to refer/tune with. I don't recall any gains or losses at the time. I tested on a Crusier and CBR600F4i.
On most Slip-Ons, including the Akro, your stock fuel curve will more than likely be fine.

You are correct Kerry, Mark started making the Techlusion box after he left Dynojet. Mark installed a techlusion box in my ZX12 while I was down in daytona one year. He actually put one on my brothers bike as well. The box has an opening in the back of it where there are 3 screws for adjustments. Think of them a a low speed, medium, and high speed mixture screws, like on a carb. Mark tweaked the box on my 12 while we were down there. I didnt notice a increase in HP, or any difference in the smoothness of my bike, I did notice a increase in fuel mileage.
After I added the full exhaust and other goodies on the 12 I pulled the techlusion, which I might add had to be spliced into the wiring harness, and replaced it with a PC.
Wormser, my opinion is this, with a slip on the techlusion box will work great. If you went the route of full exhaust I woudl go with a PC.....JMO

you are generally correct Daniel, although I would believe that anything we do to the exhaust/intake systems would have some effect on the A/F mixture in the bike. This just allows for the correction of it. Keeeping in mind tha ta slip-on isnt going to effect the A/F mixture as much as a full system.
I notice a slight difference in the running of my bike after the Area P was put on. And the bike is running a bit richer on the top end. I am getting more black smoke, for th elack of a better term, out of the exhaust now. I will prolly end up putting on a PC later after I get done witht the rest of the goodies I wish to install. Will it be necessary? prolly not, but it cant hurt either. And I want my bike to run as well as it can.....
