New Bike Assembly Procedure

Anyone in here work at a dealership or have access to the assembly guide that the techs use to assemble our bikes out of the crate? I'd like to double check everything that they assembled for good measure.

I would guess that one step is to make sure that you leave the shipping cosmolene all over the bike when you give it to the customer. Including the brake rotors. That is what my selling dealer did. Then they parked it out on a back lot on a very windy day. When they brought the bike around, it looked like a dirt magnet. And after using the brakes with that crap on the rotors, my rear brake was non-existant.

I have never seen one in the crate, but I think minimum assembly is required. Just a common sense checking of fastners would do. I don't think there is any assembly at the rear of the bike at all. Check all of the fluid levels and you should be good to go.

From what I remember when I worked at the Honda shop assembling bikes. The sport bikes were pretty much built before they arrived at the dealer. Mount and torque front wheel ,lower fairings , mirrors, fill and charge battery, add engine oil ,gas, adjust tire pressure ,check all lights and the roadtest from hell!

I was told by the dealer that the only thing that had to be done to the 10 was to put on the windshield and service the battery.
