u spoke quite harshly about wave rotors but your explanation directly above says nothing to indicate wave rotors are a bad idea. am i to assume that when you say wave rotors, you are referring specifically to the Braking brand as opposed to teh concept?

No. Wave rotors in general as applied to liter bikes used in anger. More metal means more friction area and more heat carrying capacity. Wave rotors are a concession to cosmetics that SCREAMS poser.

I would think the concept behind wave rotors is to save weight especially unsprung rotating mass. Racing is about winning, equipment is meant to last the life of the race, not the life of the bike. If your budget doesn't allow that, then one must compromise. But a soft metal wave rotor and an aggressive pad, may provide enough braking on a particular course. They may be toast at the end but they got the job done. Racing and the street are two completely different animals. Yes we have fast bikes and they will do well on a track. But make no mistake, the really successful ones, do many things to make a bike faster, clearances are different to allow wide open running from the get go. every part is scrutinized, massaged. And if a part is toast at the end of a race, no problem, install a fresh one. Losing sucks, and losing for the sake of parts, sucks worse. IMHO.

Ok as you can tell I am flipping ticked off. As much as I love my 10, I hate the brakes equally as much. I have no love for the brake system on this bike what so ever. I have done everything I know to do to make these brakes feel better, well as well as stock brakes can. quote]
