So what was the purpose of these changes? Reliability? Correcting some issue? Is it worth it for current 04 owners to consider changing over to some of the 05 components?

So why did KMC wait a year to make "improvements"? Why not just make the bike like that in 04 ?

I noticed that the turn signals front and rear have been made smaller and triangular in appearance.

Hey all,

I am in love with the '04 Orange. But, after reading up a bit, and with the tranny upgrades and all, I am not too sure I really want to buy a holdover if my dealer comes through with one. If the price is special enough and the transmission and suspension is adequate, maybe I will.

What is the issue with the gearbox anyway? Can an '05 one be slipped in painlessly?

Man, if I only knew that the '06 was coming out in Bright Orange!! It probably will have a trick steering dampener on it too! (That's if KMC is Really listening).....
