Have about 800 miles on my first set of PP. Previously ran Diablo Corsas. So far, I prefer the PP over anything else.

jsut read Michelin's description of the Pilot Powers... just how well do these wear? and ho wwell do they work in rain or on a dirty backwoods road? the tread pattern sure doesnt look like it would like anything other than a clean racetrack surface. Also, they seem to consistently be a good chunk pricier than the competition.

I run 120/70 and 180/55. I like them, but then I don't know sheyat about pressures, or so I've been told.
I'll try them again Sunday and report back. I've not ridden the 10R since December.

Hi folks,
I've done 4000ks on a set. I've been to the race track twice and through the hills plenty and I just cannot believe there is still rubber on these tyres. They are quite incredible. Normally I'd burn a rear out completely at one track session.
The grip is also superior. You can happily push them until they begin to let go without fear of a complete loss and a rear whip or front tuck.
I'd be getting these above all others I've tried, which includes D208GP and D208RR and the stock rubber on the 10.

Awesome! I am glad to hear such great feedback. I am going to order them tomorrow! I was deciding between the dunlop 208 and those Michelins.

Okay, I did ride in the canyons again Sunday. I ran 34 PSI front and 34 rear, and did not get the tires 'gummy' at those pressures, in a moderately aggresive pace through the twisties. The tires were 'warm' to the touch, I'd say about 150 deg by the skin-on-the-inside-of-the -wrist thermometer. Ambients were 89'F.
I took a few PSI out of the tires for one run - 33 front and 31 rear - and the tires got tackier to the touch, with more noticable wear, too, front and rear; in one run (eight miles).
I like the feel of the tires with less air, but I'm not opening that can of worms again.
I now have about 1100 miles or so on the tires, having put 150 on this weekend, and I'll buy them again for the street.
I rode them on the track on a ZX-6E two days in December, and they worked fine - no grip issues and great wear, and that was at lower pressures.
OTOH, the Power Race tire and I are having issues right now, that's a whole different story for the R6 forums...
