thinking about buying a used 04 zx10
hi guys im currently in the market for a newer (used 1 liter) sportbike and am currently looking at an 04 zx10, my question is are there some trouble areas to look at / for? this is going to break the bank for me so id rather buy something that has a good reputation from its current or past owners. also are there any other forums out there that would have zx10 info for me? thanks in advance jason

One or two reports of catostrophic engine failure from the alternator coming apart. Other than that, there's really nothing in the way of bad news on these things. As good a reliability record as any 1st year model in recent memory.

If your financing it, then buy a brand new 10...Unless you know who your buying the used 10 from...Theres nothing like a brand new bike broken in by YOU!!!
