Aww... :( YACOLT (AP) A man missing since Feb. 8 on an all-terrain vehicle outing has been found dead in a remote area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, his puppy standing guard, officials said.
The body of Thomas C. Taylor, 68, of Amboy was found about noon Saturday at about the 2,800-foot level of Gumboot Mountain on a forest road just inside Skamania County and about seven miles east of Yacolt, Clark County sheriff's Cmdr. Rusty Warren said.
Taylor's black 2003 Jeep Wrangler was found about five miles away in some bushes off the road, and it appeared that he had gotten stuck in snow and was trying to walk for help with his 3-month-old mixed-breed puppy, Marci, Warren said.
"The dog was real protective," he added.
Taylor had insulin-dependent diabetes and a heart condition but left without taking his medication, authorities said.
Cause of death was not immediately determined, but there was "no foul play whatsoever," Warren said.

One more reason dog's are better than people.
Did anyone catch Monster Garage last night? Jesse adopted a cute little puppy who's left front leg was deformed. At the close of the show they dedicated it to the puppy because it died during surgery. I got a little teary eyes
