Things Change - Life goes on

ALCON,
I've been a member of many message boards over the years, but you all have been the most pleasurable and professional (sometimes) to communicate with. I'd say 95-98 percent, that says a lot for a place ppl from all over can read and post too. You have all been great and I'm sure I'll often still be a sneak and peak lurker.
My retirement from US Army has been approved. I'll be placing a post on Bikeland Classifieds for my bike. Just need to tighten up a few things before I make this move to civilian life.
If someone out there has not figured it out yet, the ZX-10R is by far the most pleasurable beast I've ever tried to keep tame. I'll surely have to have another one later on. Until then, you all watch out for the big ole four wheel run-u-over's out there, they suck! Thank you all for being a friend while I served that past year in Korea and keeping my appetite for information at bay. Gods speed, if not than Kawi's,
vr/lukn

Hey fish,
with all going on all over the world, I'm surprised they approved it! A few of my buddies in uniform have not been so lucky and have since received orders back to a big ole sand box
I was not sure for several months where I'd be, but the wife and I are excited now as everything seems to be coming together. I received the orders Monday and immediately drove back home. She was preparing herself for work and I told her, "happy birthday" for the second time that morning. She said, "what's that". I moved the orders from behind my back up to her face and watched her read. She was on sentence two or three and started crying. We have been through so much over these 20 years, but somehow have kept the fire going. I am truly blessed,

Thanks for giving us that 20 years. I've always said, if things get tough and they form the Geezer Brigade, I'm there!!

Thanks all
upon official retirement date (1 Sep 05), I'll have completed 20 yrs 6 months.
1-Hard Knox, 1-Germany, 1-Hood, 4-Rucker and 3-Korea.
19E, 19K, 93C and 15Q.
Hobbies: Fast Bikes, Faster computers and slow 4X4s. But I've always bow hunted and fished. Georgia boy who as truly traveled the world...Several times!

I was born to serve something bigger than I could ever be, except in the eyes of wife and son. I've felt heartaches, smiles and love. Have known heat so hot it hurt to breathe and cold that stung through the best boots one could buy. Still though, and the point to be known is I've laughed with people from all over this planet and found the common ground that exist. We all want to feel as though we matter and most anyone anywhere have been more than willing to share a smile, chat and sometimes a tear too. I've known what it was like to be called a butthead and had an article just this year published in Korea, that made an attempted to call me a hero for saving a Korean and her unborn chilled from an auto accident. Honestly, I'm just human, that's all. What you read and see (those who know me) is what you get,
bless you all, you've been a friend to me,

Congatulations and more importantly, I and my family thank you for your long service for our country.

On a different note... just because you willy be without a bike for a while (a "short one" I hope), that does not mean you will be without the "love of motorcycling". For that reason alone, you should no hesitate to visit AND post here when the time and mood strikes.

Good luck.

redelk, your not gonna get rid of me so easily bud...I may be a silent reader often, but I'm still here watching and learning
To put it politely: Like a skunk in a tub: "wash all you want, rear end still smells". I may be selling a bike but the bike bug still lives within me, just as it has since my first ride on a mini-bike a long darn time ago. I wish more folks could know the sensation; it'd open up more eyes to the joy of riding and that well known sense of freedom. Not to mention the RUSH a ZX-12 or ZX-10 can give one's soul, or maybe that was my soul shouting, "For our on sake, slow the heck down, brake dummy, brake"!

While we're at it, how long has it been since we've had a "long term review", redelk wrote on the 10? Many ppl out here like the way you write, get busy bud -lukn

Thank you, sir. Thank you very much.

I have thought about putting the first season of our CMRA endurance team (Backmarker Racing L.L.C.) into text... with all it highs (almost a podium finish on more than on race) and it's lows (following the ambulance to the hospital wondering how serious my rider's injuries were). Alas, the preperation for the upcoming season prevents me from such verbal dribbles.

Thanks guys, but enough. Go read the latest news on our soldiers, sailors, airmen, reservist, guards and marines. See what battle they are combating against today. Have a quiet moment and pray for the one's who shall not ever again know the joy of a two wheel ride, an air conditioned building or a loved one wrapping arms around them. Send notes to congressmen/women and let your desires be known, they work for you too, right. Support where you can, how you can and do so often. Find a church or local organization that sends care packages and assist. Get involved however you like, the one's serving are of us, from us and still apart of us. They just need to know you care and that you support them doing what they have been sent to do.

I'm thankful for the kind words, honestly. But let them here you too,
