depends on the air and road temps.
right now in the low 60's I'm running 32 f, 30 r. Lower than that, the bike steers too heavy.
in the summer I ran 34, 32, but think it could stand to be a tad higher.

i ran them for the first time today 33 front 34 rear as per my dealer . could hardly keep my ass on the seat, so i bled some air out and it was great. when i got home and they cooled down it showed 29 front 29.5 rear. seems low to me but they worked great. i've never run michelins before so i don't know if the are made to run at lower pressures or not..

they run well at 38 front and 40 rear due to the high silica content.
run lower pressure for track use.
maybe 33 an end,.

What makes all the difference in the world is your weight and how aggresively you ride, and as kz2 stated above , air and road temps DO have an effect.

Correct.
These tire's rely on Air pressure to maintain carcass SHAPE. The silica in the compound allows the tire to make it's own heat. If you start with a cold pressure that's too low, you WILL overheat the Compound.
For example, on a 70deg. Trackday out here in AZ. A 185 lb. (w/ gear) rider on a 2000 R1 will start with 33 front / 37 rear to get a nice 10% rise in pressure. This is what these tire's require to work properly!
This is also true w/ the Bridgestone 014's. Both tire's have simular characteristic's.

Shrug.
My experience is that they don't have good feel at those higher pressures. They definitely don't warm up at those pressures when it's cooler out.
Your mileage may vary.

By how fast you ride kz, I'm not surprised at your opinion.
The reason they don't warm up for you at the proper pressures is due to your (uh-hum) input.

Hey, Shawn, they don't have TIME to warm up, flying over the ground as they do.

Looks like we "Hit a Nerve!!"
Let me see here, my 12 as I see it has PLENTY of opportunity to "Fly over the ground" in it's current state of "Tune". However, I do not have an issue heating up the Tires
Have you addressed your suspention set up to properly LOAD your front tire? Alot of heat can be put into the tire under Breaking also.
It also may help to get the bike properly sprung for your weight.
BTW, PLEASE keep the PSC/AZ BUSA board mentality off this site, we exchange GOOD info here. Thanks DAVE

This thread is not about "Who's " Faster DAVE.
It's about Pilot Power PSI.
At your Riding Weight, Suspention Set-up and PACE, You are definately not qualified to offer input other's can use to get the most out of these tire's.
My Information comes from a 2 Local Licenced Racer's, one which just Returned from Freddie Spencers Class (who btw runs Pilot Powers on ALL the Bikes) and the other who received a Top Ten Finish at Laguna Seca. Both these Gentlemen and the Local Michelin Rep. have supported "Higher Than you would think" pressures for these tires.
I would strongly suggest not "Shrugging off" good input from people who know. Even Extremelean made a very valid point here.."your weight and HOW AGGRESSIVELY you ride" have the most affect on these tires.
No "fevered" Imagination here, Just the Facts.
Does that bother you?

Ok, now you can go fuck off.
I run the pressures I run and stated - the question was what pressures do people run? I answered. Thanks for the blue-sky shaft.
Shawn, we're done. You can go hang out with your mechanic friend and hang out with your crowd. Take your overinflated ego and shove it.
Buh bye.

You can lead a Horse to water....But you can't make him drink.
Sorry this hurts your feelings, however it is clear to see by your response that you are not open to the possibility that what you run is not what will allow you to get the best performance from the tires.(or your zx10 for that matter)
I don't have an over-inflated ego here, I learned alot from fast riders and racers over the years. I also had to learn to be humble in re; to my abilities to ride and bike set up. It might work good for you also.
