ISO damaged seat cowl for testing....
Hey all,
I'm looking for a used/damaged seat cowl to expieriment with?
If anybody has one laying around don't throw it away.
send it to me..
What I'm trying to do is figure out the best way to rig up a lipstick cam and camera for rear view.
I'll post up all of my findings this isn't a bussiness venture. I used to be in broadcasting and still enjoy editing and creating video.
If you can help please contact me.
Thanks in advance.

p.s. if anyone doing the Deals Gap Rally wants to do some filming. I'm willing to do some editing and produce a dvd for bikeland.org I'd need help making copies though.

Hey avdigigeek,
Check out these pics. These mounts worked great. CAUTION: My front mounted camera took a few small chips to the lens from sand and stuff on the road that riders in front of me kicked up. Got the metal pieces from Lowes hardware. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link.
How solid does the rear work out? looks pretty solid.
I need to be more stealthy though.
The bike behind me will be shooting me and I him.
thanks again.

It's VERY solid. you could make it a bit more low profile than I did. I used the complete loop of the metal to make it rigid. With the right hardward I'm sure you could make it smaller and just as soild. I was going to use the holes that hole the seat lock release and place longer bolts on it to clack it down tight. I went with this design cuz we can switch from bike to bike as quick as a rear seat change. I put a bolt that goes down into the seat lock hole that has the same size head as the seat does sothe stock locking holds it in place tight untill you turn the key to release it.
