Thinking of sell the 10R - going back to 12R.

Am I the only 6'2" whimp that feels way cramped on the 10R? I sure miss my ol' 12R, especially long rides flying down the freeway.

Not here, Hamilton... I'm 6'3.5 and I find the 10R to have more legroom than the 12R... the 12R did something strange to my knees.... anyways.. maybe that's just me.. BTW. have you tried to get back onboard a 12R and take it fer a spin since owning a 10R? Just wondering what yer impressions were if you did..

You might look at a set of Helibars and adjustable rearsets.

Fish, no I haven't ridden a 12R since I sold mine. I did, however, sit on one at the Long Beach motorcycle show this weekend and it felt stretched out and big, which I like.

I get leg cramps when tucked in on the 10R, probably because I have long legs (36" inseam) which might be the problem. Who knows...maybe I'm just old and awkward and don't know how to drag a knee.

lol

Everybody's a bit different. If you like the 12, by all means, go for it.

I can attest that the 12's personality is rather more of a GT (all day ass-haulin') vs. track weapon.

I still have a very fond attachment to my old 12, RIP.

Good luck, and there are many out there to be had for a reasonable deal.

Having sat on the Busa and the 12 yesterday at the show and then riding the 10 today, I wouldn't seel the bike because of confort reasons (unless the other 2 already had Heli Bars on em).

Besides the shorter reach to the bars on the 10, the weight was very noticeable on the other 2 (more than I realized before).

Rubber Pants -

Yup, I have a VN2000. Thunder Air Kit, PCIII, and modified stock exhaust.
It's B-I-G and heavy and hauls ass. Dead stable. Dyno said 106hp, 123lbs. torque!! You'd need to put at least $5,000 into a H-D to get those numbers, plus it has 4 valve heads, 2x46mm throttle bodies, belt drive, 150/200 tires, single pin crankshaft for THAT sound.

Helluva nice cruiser.

If I could make the VN2000 look like a Drifter, it might interest me. Front fender would be easy, it's the back one that would be some work.

Does Helibars make a set for the 10? Emailed them a couple of times and always got the same answer. No not yet but will do so in the future.

Hamilton, this is Mac's kid up here in Seattle. If you would quit having foot surgery and crashing your old 12R you might be healthy enough to ride the 10.... I still love mine. Go next door and tell my Dad hello for me.

Hey Mark, I was trying to keep all that a secret!

If I told your dad hello, that means I'd have to wake him up.
