Palomar/Willow/Fontana Weekend in Jan?

Who would be interested in a forum meet-up for Palomar, and a trackday at either Fontana or Willow in January?

The trackday schedule isn't out for either place (or wasn't last week), but if there's interest we could probably call for advance dates.

Is this something anyone's interested in after the Christmas bills come?

Sounds like quite the package.

Palomar will likely be snow and ice in Jan though and Willow will feel like Palomar looks.

If there is to be a Palomar run then I'll be there for that.

I'd be interested in the Track Day at Fontana. Not sure about Willow (might agree with D on that one)

Does anyone want to loan me a bike? I'm originally from southern cal (in fact I'm going back next week for thanksgiving) and would love a track day out there. I'm sure someone has a spare bike they'd trust me with.

Sounds like this is do-able then.

I'll post up the schedules for WS and Fontana when they come out.

Yah. Not bad, Bovine.

I'll look into Fontana as well, and put up options - Fontana is usually more expensive, from what I can tell.

I'm always down for Palomar.

Can give up to the minute weather report on weekends.

I have a house near the bottom of The Tight Side.

Still looking for Fontana dates, but the Trackdaz or WSMC (on a Friday) Willow date is looking attractive.

Chris, how much is a room at Harrah's down the road for the night?

I have the Fastrack Fontana Trackday in AMA configuration dates - none in January.

January 22nd
Saturday
Infield Track

Febuary 12-13th
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

March 26th
Saturday
AMA Track

April 23- 24th
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

May 28- 29th
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

June 11- 12th
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

July 2- 3rd
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

August 20- 21st
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

September 24th
Saturday *
Infield Track

November 26- 27th
Saturday/Sunday
AMA Track

So - Bovine, I can afford a weekend at Streets with Trackdaz in Jan; and a date with Palomar.

Feb will be tight for me to do the AMA track at Fontana, but I have some local riders (in Phoenix) that want to do that track - I *may* be able to do the Feb Fontana date.

January at Streets should be fun. Palomar anytime. Fontana in Feb would be ok too. Weekend dates at Pahrump with Socal Trackdays are cool too. OK, any track, anytime...

Bovine, others - I'm drumming up some local riders to come out with me - one will only do Fontana, the other wants to do Willow.

My wallet wants me to do Willow too if I am successful in replacing the ZX-6E (non)trackbike by Feb. Otherwise, I'd only have the 10R to take on the track (and I'd really hate to bin this bike).

Given this, I'd like to focus on Willow in Feb, but if the only guy who'd share the slog out I-10 with me wants to do Fontana - and Kerry says he'd do Fontana - I'd bite the extra $$ and go to Fontana (and likely with the 10R and not something less precious).

So - if there is a vocal few who'd go to Fontana, shout now, or else I'll be planning for Feb and Willow, and maybe convince my local bud to consider Willow instead, too.

Doesn't really matter. Fontana is a lot closer and a little more enjoyable on a big bike as you can really stretch it out compared to Willow (Streets). Then again, Streets is probably funnier overall. The big track is even better. Kinda take your chances on the wind coming up at Willow.
Fontana normally doesn't have that problem. You also have a lot of runoff room after the high speed sections (Fontana). So if you get in over your head, you won't end up on your head..... You get garages at Fontana which is nice. Just a whole different "professional" feeling running at a big open Super Speedway. Better choice if you run the AMA Track.

Then again, Willow might be interesting in February to watch "D". Maybe we can break in the new trailer and carpool up there. Stay in touch.
