ZX10R goes 202.247mph at Maxton Just got in and thought I'd post since people were wondering about whether the 10 has a limiter.
Chad Millholland rode a Coby Adams built 10 to several 200+mph passes. This is a push button start streetbike that flies. Still has the stock ECU and never had time to test some things out to run faster, which it will do.
The 10's are AWESOME.

Maxton zx10r I am planning on taking my zx10r to the first meet in 05 at Maxton and have run numerous other bikes there..Its incredible and lots of fun.If you are close you should at least attend one meet and try it out...
Can you tell me a list of mods to the zx10r they ran??? Was it lowered or extended??? Motor work, nitrous, turbo??

The bike is all motor, don't know if Coby is advertising what is done to it. Nitrous will be on it for the Prostar race in Gainesville next week-end.
It has an Adams arm on it, stock one extended that looks and works great.

Thanks for the post guys.
Doug....
Chad made the 200mph Club last year running 207+ on a ZX12R with Muzzy's parts including the 1361 kit, race cams and Pro pipe. Good proven combo that works for sure.

Question- "stock ecu" does this mean that the 10R doesn't need a device to remove a 186mph speed restriction? What gearing?

Does anybody know how he had the biked geared. And does what does his speedo read? I haven't seen my speedo over 190 and I have pipe powercommander and thin head gasket etc... And I have played with the gearing as well.

Doug---I took my 10 out yesteday to answer the question for myself.Great Falls,Montana is at about 3450 ft.
I had to wait for a certain someone to leave .
I pulled---not inched---to 186,and then it went on--off--on--off-- just like a truck limiter.
The bike is bone stock except for an Ohlins and a yellow box set to read mph in kph.I gave my buddy the "salute, and went back to my shop and put it on my dyno(new 250i with every option).
I set the yellow box to a +20% and the dyno would give me a rpm reading of 12,650 when the tach sweep was buried. No hint of limiter.I had to take a 235 off that to reset it

Nice post Hank! I really like to know what gearing the guy at Maxton had to make her to the 200 mph club. I have all the little goodies including the thin head gasket Ti force Pc3 etc. And I went down one in the front and when I added U4 it was the most fun I've had in awhile. I would like to head down to maxton and need to know what kind of gearing I need. Because right now I'm searching for 7th gear.

You went the wrong way with the front sprocket. You should have left it stock and went down in the rear for more top speed.

Dude! I think you just found the speed limiter. Hank, change your jacket and repeat the run....190's should be esy with the proper jacket....
