Anyone know of a new sport tourer coming to market?

Just wander if anyone knows of a new sport tourer coming to market? I'm looking to get a 2nd bike for the long hauls 500 plus miles. I like the FJR1300 and been reading about the new BMW S bike. Wanting something comfortable, fast as hell, and with saddlebags and that still handles. I know I want allot. Anyone know of any such soon to be bike????

Sounds like the FJR1300 to me. I sure wish Kawasaki would ditch the concours and give us something with the 12r motor in it.

Considering that a ZZR1200 will spank a 12 up to 100mph, what are you looking for?

Maybe, in my humble opinion, something that looks better.

As for spanking a 12r up to 100mph I'd have to see that to believe that.

You wont go wrong with a ZZR1200, I owned one before my 10R and there is no doubt its damn quick. It will certainly make the FJR look silly and if you ever meet a fella called Quickaw on the ZZR1200 forum he will prove to you that it has surprised a few other bikes on a quarter mile too! (including 12R's and Busas) Its comfortable and smooth and attracts a lot of attention. I still kick myself that I didnt keep it AND buy the ZX10R. Instead I traded it, and miss it for touring and two-up long trips.

Hey Malice,

I hang out over on ZZR1200.net every now and then. Good to see ya here! And I'm very glad I kept both. The 10R is great for playing, but when I want to *go* somewhere, the ZZR gets the nod.

Do you consider the 12R to be a sport tourer? Perhaps the current model 12R will become next year's sport tourer and the "new" 12R will become the hardcore sportbike....

just a thought

swft youre very fortunate to have both! I went back to the stealership on my next vacation to buy my ZZR back but my beauty had already been ridden by someone and wasnt quite the same....
The ZZR forum is indeed a good one, and I thought I recognised the name!

I really am a Kawasaki guy, so don't kill me for this suggestion...
BMW K1200S... We have a demo bike sitting at our showroom and its as comfy as a sports tourer can be. Also two of my colleagues went to Nurnburgring (the Nordschleife old track and the new F1 circuit) for BMW's introduction of the bike. Both of them singlemindedly concluded that the bike is a helluva lot faster round a track than ZX-12R or Hayabusa.
Not the cheapest thing on the market, but it's lightyears ahead of the competition in the class when it comes to technology and riding dynamics.

Well I actually was thinking about the new BMW S. And I've had 2 ZX12R in the past a 02, and a 03 and a 00 busa so I've had my share of bigger bikes . Like I said I wanting something that is comfy and hard luggage and that will handle and fast.
