Boy did I make mistake yesterday.
I was on the 10.
I had a backpack on with my stuff in it.
I stopped to get gas and took it off to get my wallet out of it.
Well sure as shit I left it sitting next to the pump.
About a mile away I relized the mistake, turned around, and flew back to the station.
Of course it was gone. I was gone maybe 3-5 mins.
I lost my
New 12" Sony Laptop (start-up locked, useless to anyone)
Samsung Slider Cell phone with 5 years worth of contacts
Burberry Sunglasses (big pimpin')
Every key that I have
Oh yea, it was a bad day.

Ill tell ya I am from ontario and was visiting my mom on clearwater florida. We stopped for gas and I lost my wallet. I went back to that station an hour later to find my wallet in the parking lot. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don't ..sorry about your luck bro.

Yea I know.
Even though I wish someone had turned it in it was my fault for leaving it.
I called my cell phone like a hundred times but they would not answer.

Well report the theft to Sony.... that may help if they try to send it in for service.
Sucks about the rest of the shit though.
Im 1 for 2 in those situations.
In 1994 I had $5,000 in my wallet which was on the top my car as I left my subdivision. Luckily I took a corner real hard and slung it into the crash.
Our landscaper found it and being that he was on probation.... he turned it back in figuring it was a setup.  I gave him $100 and called his probation officer.
2nd time I lost my wallet and keys at a restaurant. It was more frustrating ... cause I was out of town. 2 days later someone tried to use my cc at a gas pump.

6 weeks ago a co-worker of mine left his tankbag on a gas pump at a service station in Riverside, Ca. By the time he remembered - and got back to pick it up, the cops had the place blocked off - worried because the attendant had described a Middle Eastern looking man who had left a possible bomb on top of the pump. (Friend is actually Puerto Rican...guess I can understand the confusion)...Cops gave him a good round of questioning - and let him go with his bag after he produced his company ID from it, (He noticed his PDA was 'missing' once he got home...How odd)...He was more embarassed than pissed-off...Bet that wouldn't have happended four years ago...

Why didnt you go to mobile operator. If your cell is on they can track him.

crispin, call the station where u left it and ask if u can review their video tape asap before it loops and u lose it! unless it was some privately owned backwater station, it should have cameras covering all teh pumps. u should be able to see who took it. may have been someone who works there, and if not, u might be able to get the license plate off the vehicle that it disapeared into.
having the mobile company track it is a good idea too, tho i'm not sure if that's something they do without a police warrant.

I thought of that but didn't do it.
I have already replaced the Lap Top and ordered a new phone from Ebay.
It was my mistake and I have to accept that.
I live in a high-crime area and it was my fault for leaving the bag there.
If you leave a steak in front of a dog can you really get mad at the dog for eating it?
Now if someone had broken into my car or house and stole those items I would have been much more upset!
