A little background...

Can you guys please not turn this into a utter and total flame fest... the REASON I asked about OPP was that they are contacted us with a request to become a sponsor. I had a pretty decent talk with Patrik on the phone on the weekend about his company. He invited me out to his warehouse to check it all out (I'm busy at work so I haven't had a chance yet)...

I told him that I didnt know much about his company, which is why I asked if any members here had heard about it...

Fish

It seems like a reasonable thread so far.

Rick seems to have a real reason to be a bit upset as well as Patrick wants to show his side of the story as well (a bit agressivelly, however).

I think alot of this will be answered when I get my Hugger.

I hope it is of a good quality.

I have seen some race carbon that I do not like as it is too unfinished looking for me.

When I talked to Patrick he described it as being nocely finished but the in his post seems to say it was raw and for $1000 he could make it nice and finished.

The pictures on the website look just the way I would like the parts to look.

Hopefully that is what I will recieve.

I will know in a few more days.

By the way keeping this board uncensored and allowing both venders and customers (us) tell our point of views is what I find the most valuable.

I agree that there should not be any real direct dissrespect (ie f**k yous!) but everything short of that seems to be what is so great about this board.

Just my 2 cents.

Hello Gentleman

In regard to this sentence only to clarify and educate:

quote
"When I talked to Patrick he described it as being nocely finished but the in his post seems to say it was raw and for $1000 he could make it nice and finished."

The carbon is not RAW or UNFINISHED what so ever. The outside has a very nice clear gloss finish. The inside of our SBK stuff which we do not really bring in because customers tought it was too thin and light (and RAW). It is not raw but it does not have another layer OF FIBERGLASS SO IT IS ONLY KEVLAR. (unfortunatelly , that is what North American customers are not used to) , here (NA) we are like herd of sheep. If we are not used to it and its different then its wrong. I am just trying to Educate our customers, thruthfully THIS IS THE STUFF THEY USE IN EUROPE SUPERBIKE (IDM) AND WORLD ENDURANCE RACING.

When i said that we can Clear coat your product for $1000, is that if you clear coat it then it will look like a Billion BUCKS , with out the clear coat it is still shiny like Hell and looks like a million bucks, ( I can't really see any problems in shine from the pictures that MR.BROWN sent in) . (thank you , i think they very very nice !

WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF PRODUCING A PAGE ON OUR INTERNET THAT WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE HIGH END PARTS FOR SBK RACING AND ENDURANCE RACING. With many parts that have not been seen in NA, like HRC HONDA parts, Quick Release Wheels (front and back). Custome GP Radiators. Oversized Tanks. Works wiring , Nissin 6 piston GP Brakes with carbon rotars ect ect.
Hopefully this will give you more of an insight of what is used in European SBK (called IDM) and World Endurance (eg: LE Mans and Maccau-asia) ( i think the later is wrong spelling-sorry!

I apologize if i am defensive, i take my work very seriously sometimes too seriously. I travel the world to bring in HiGH end products for our NA customers. I don't mean to brag but i have seen a ton of shit-with respect to the carbon and motorcycle industry. I have seen the best and i have seen the worst. I make it my business and my livelyhood to know my stuff.

Thanks for reading.
Sincerely
Patrik
any questions please fee free 604.942.6744

p.S i have dual citizenship and we have two locations one in canada and one in usa to better service NA customers. peace.

I bought the cf upper and lower for my 10. It took about 10 days to get it, one small scratch, but the cf was very poor quality. It wasn't as shiny as I thought it would be. It looked very dull.

Reading Pat's post, let me now clarify what I meant by dull. I guess he's right, we (or I) am not use to real stuff and I thought it would shine alot more. I do feel a bit more educated on the subject now and would like to say that I and everybody else that I meet love my bike. BTW pat I had an accident and I will be buying a new upper and lower and maybe a clear coat

Ok as a HAPPY customer of OPP and I have recommended them to several people.

I bought the fiberglass version skinz for my '97 ZX9R and for a '99 Honda F4

Fit and finish were spot on. Yes they were made by Sebimoto. I did have them painted so the finish as received ie glossy was irrelevant. Delivery was several weeks but admitidly it was my '97 bike that took the time they were purchased in 2001 or so.

The skinz have held up to several track mishaps on both bikes. The cost was good as well.

I only dealt with Patrik via phone. No problems and pleasure to deal with.

I would recommend and would purchase again from if I were to replace skinz.

Patrik, insulting me is not the way to earn my business. You could have the best shit in the world and I wouldn't buy from you. Do all Canadians have an inferiority complex?

Fish Breath,

For you Canadians being called a sheep might be a compliment, but here in the US of A it's an insult.

Smack talk in the Smack House, Bovine. Patrik wants to establish a new customer base, and Fish is trying him in the court of member opinion. You're only muddying the water...

Let's let Patrik establish his bona fides, send a member or two some product, before we judge. This means the rest of us (who haven't already had interaction with OPP or posted the results of said interaction) should stay out of it for a bit.

Cool?

All I know about Patrick is that hes a little arrogant prick who thinks he knows everything. All that goof cares about is separating you from your money. His shop is a little shithole hole in the wall and their service sucks!
