Poll Question:
ZX-10R frames

so with the issues of the ZX-10R frames cracking, am I the only one nervous to ride it hard? Don't get me wrong I'm a road racer guy not a wheelie king. It seems to be the wheelie kings having the problem!!

It does seem that the one or two we've heard about are indeed from the Stunt riders. But with over 17000 bikes made, I'd hardly call that an "issue" (unlike the wheel "issue"...)

Being that you're a road racer, and no doubt follow road racing and how the 10's have been doing, do you really think you can ride the bike close to the limits of what the current pros are doing, on the Street or Track/Track Days, to be "nervous to ride it hard?" (man, that was a long sentence...)

What other "issues" besides the stunt guys that we've read about? Are road race guys cracking them (not counting if they crash & crack them...)?

I'm with kbryant on this one... I havent seen 10R frames cracking at all on tis site spare the 2 stunting frames...

Now I've seen my fare share of stuntshows... I would think that chnaces are they is more to the story about those two cracked frames than meets the eye..

Point me in the direction of some regular everyday streetriders or some track riders who HAVENT tossed their 10R down the track, and then I might have some concern... until then I'd say this post is fer entertainment purposes only.

I don't think I could ride it like a pro, well I know I can't. This bike does feels great ridden hard. my last bike was a 95' ZX-9, so the 10 is a breath of fresh air. there's nothng better than power sliding the thing with great feed back. my 9 was very numb to what it was doing.
As for getting to push it hard is a task in Illinois which is a flat straight state.
I did pretty good in the mountians in NC and GA beating up the edges of the tires. next year I'll be doing some track days at gratten and gingerman with my club. I'm not nervous to ride it hard just cautious with where and when I pin the throttle.

If anybody lives in northern illinois look us up;
