Front Wheel
Am I the only one on the planet that still has the original front rim ? Dealer keeps saying we will call you when it gets here...........NO CALL YET !!! I guess they are building me a super trick wheel.

I just got one Friday. Had to go to a different dealer. The guy I bought mine from was a total dickwad. Call around. Somebody has one waiting for you.

Where you from? I bought mine in SC and live in VA, talked the the local dealer (Sunrise Cycles) and the guy (Bo) told me he could do the exchange that weekend. I brought him the wheel and he was done in ten minutes, ever got new allen bolts for the disc's too. I had to polish the new wheel before installing it, but all was silky smooth with the dealer here.

I am in Texas.My dealer only sold one ZX10R(Mine),so Kawasaki did not send a replcement wheel for me since they sent out wheels for 50% of the 10's the dealer sold.I spoke to Kawasaki and they assured me I will have a wheel this week! I'm not holding my breath.I asked about extending the warranty since the bike is not supposed to be ridden during this time.they said call back when the repair is complete and we would talk.

Still have my original wheel. I did get a call from the dealer today. He asked my ODO reading. I told him just under 6000 miles. His reponse "Damn, we better get you a wheel quick."
Long story short I'm still waiting for my wheel.

I am not sure what caused them, but I am sure it wasn't from normal riding or extreme cornering loads. All of the 10R owners I know here in Hampton Roads didn't stop riding their bikes either. Sure we all could have been riding on borrowed time, but we were riding them and the problem pre-existed. We just didn't know there was a problem.

I took my nephews 10 to get the wheel replaced yesterday, we live in Houston Tx, the guy told me they actually had the wheel sitting there for a lil while , . I decided to sacrifice my self and take the bike for the wheel replacement cause my nephew didnt have any day time available to do the recall  .
BOMAN i've been trying to get a hold of you cause for some reason I cant read my messages in here; I get the notice on my email but I cant read them . I asked about the Yoshi pipe remember ? can u give me a shout at diablodcielo@yahoo.com ??? thanks bud ....

Sent you an email diablodcielo. My dealer called me today saying my wheel came in,BUT it will be a week before they can get me in. They are overloaded with 4wheelers getting ready for hunting season. PS diablodcielo ........it was nice of you to RIDE your nephews 10 to have it repaired,you must be a very good uncle to make that sacrifice !

zx10r front wheel
I bought my 10r two weeks ago...but i cannot take delivery until they get my front wheel recall done...THIS really SUCKS...I was told that it should arrive any time but I CANNOT wait much longer....

This is interesting guys... at the Dealer intro KMC officials told me that the wheel recall was "complete" in the sense that they had shipped all of the wheels necessary to the dealers.

My wheel is replaced!!! I also had a taillamp assembly that was extremely loose(mounting ears were broken)causing the cover over the lamp to rub the rear tail section. The whole tail section seemed to be loose. They ordered me a new lamp and rear tail section.If you are constantly having to push down the cover over the taillamp to get the velcro to stick,your lamp mounting ears may also be broken.Its raining so I will let them keep it until Wednesday.(Supposed to be finished)I will let you know how it turns out.

I have my bike back ! They replaced the tail section,the tail light, and the light cover.They forgot to get my decals.........so they ordered them.The tech thinks we will have problems with these lights coming loose since the ears that hold them are so thin. Check your lamp and see if its loose.If the upper lamp cover is raising up(the one with the velcro)squeeze the top cover and the lamp at the same time to reposition.If you push down without supporting the light the ears can break.Time will tell.
