Supervisor, Amateur Motocross

Department: Team Green

Reports To: Manager, Team Green Road Racing

Summary: This position directs and coordinates the operational activities of Team Green for all amateur MX and Arenacross racers and selected race events by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Negotiates contracts for all amateur motocross racers.
*

Creates and tracks data for contingency programs. There are 1000+ events where KMC compensates racers.
*

Creates and track market share information to identify market trends.

Coordinates maintenance and preparation of all MX special projects through Shop Foreman or related technician.
*

Effectively and positively interacts directly with team sponsors and race promoters.
*

Monitors budget spending.
*

Serves as KMC representative at various high profile racing events; Represents KMC with professionalism, integrity, and courtesy at all times.
*

Records and submits accurate expense reports and MasterCard statements on a timely basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises three employees in the Amateur and Arenacross Racing division of Team Green. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills
Must have solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be spreadsheet savvy and have the ability of tracking specific statistics.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must maintain current class M (motorcycle license).

Other Skills and Abilities

*

Must successfully work and achieve departmental objectives under minimum direct supervision.
*

Must effectively manage multiple priorities and assignments, including delegating jobs and following up on assigned tasks.
*

Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*

Must demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience working with 2 stroke and 4 stroke machines.

Other Qualifications
Extensive travel is required.

Must have ability to occasionally lift up to 50 - 75 lbs.

Must be able to manipulate tools and equipment when necessary.

Must be capable of negotiating stairs and open terrain.
*

Must possess physical endurance to work long hours (sometimes 12 hrs +/day)
