Summary
This position provides complete technical and mechanical support to KMC racers at selected racing events including maintenance, inventory of parts/accessories and the professional appearance of KMC property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes service and/or repair requests received from various racers and Team Green dealers.
* Performs diagnostics with racer to collect information about the problem to determine source of error.
* Repairs and/or replaces defective parts on motorcycles per request.
* Race preps Kx machinery and Kx special projects.
* Coordinates preventative maintenance and services as necessary including cleaning, lubricating and testing the motorcycles.
* Interacts with promoters to establish public address announcements and to gain high profile locations for KMC support trucks at various racing events. Speaks on behalf of KMC when superior is not available.
* Logs and tracks parts inventory utilized at various events and compiles Parts Control Sheets on a timely basis.
* Collects funds for parts and/or accessories distributed at racing events.
* Records and submits accurate expense reports on a timely basis.
* Administers technical seminars at various events.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training in the motorcycle racing field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must maintain current Class M license (motorcycle).
A Class C license (commercial) not mandatory, but strongly preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
* Must demonstrate in depth knowledge and experience working with 2 stroke and 4 stroke machines.
* Must be able to work successfully and achieve objectives under minimum direct supervision.
* Must be extremely dependable coupled with an outgoing, personable attitude.

Wow, I didn't realize that the company I work for is much larger than KMC.
