6308 miles in 11 days!
My father and I road from Detroit to Portland then down througth the Redwoods then over to Reno and 80 to Chicago and then home(short story). I am very jealous of those who live on the coast or near the moutains! Nothing like those roads out west! Sorry to those of ya that said that I could pm ya but we go a late start. Long story-->94 west to 90 west to Rapid City(where I got a new rear tire-8200miles on the dunlop218) 79 south to 36 west to 16 west(mount rushmore) to 385 south to crazyhorse(cool) 385 north to 90 west to 14west to 20 west(yellowstone)to 80n west to portland(aunt lives there), then 80east to 35 south to 26 east to 97 south to Bend(Muzzys was closed-late on a saturday) 20 west to 126 to 101 south throught the redwoods to 299 south(Arcata) to 44 east to 89 south to 36 east to 395 south(Reno) to 80 east to Sidney, Neb. then a 24hour ride Home(so we would not have to deal with Chicago traffic on a friday) 80 east to 94 east to Detroit.

Damn O, wish I woulda known you were coming through. You should have waited till this weekend to come through Reno. Street vibrations. Glad you had fun and got home safe!!

Papawheelie and I could have shown you some great mountain roads. If anybody else comes through Reno, let papawheelie or I know.

You must have an iron butt, I don't even like to fly that far. How did you pack your gear/clothes to take along? Do you have any tips for riding comfort? I want to ride down into Virginia next year (500mi one way), I made the same ride B/4 in 10 hrs but that was on a Softail....and I was younger.
